Another Rejection
I just got off the phone with another mental health professional. I don't even know if it was a psychologist, therapist, or the receptionist. I received an email back to my request for an appointment at a behavioral health clinic that accepts my insurance. Arturo would be calling me sometime today to

Help with fatigue
Alex Howard is an author and therapist whose YouTube channel is a great, free resource. He suffered from Chronic Fatige/ME for six years and this has informed a lot of his work. His latest project is a book on Fatigue - but you don’t have to buy the book to access the resources as he’s doing a 21 day

Where can I get my son tested for ADHD soon? He needs attention now!
Hello parents! Im a resident of Bergen county, NJ. My child has not been tested for ADHD because his tests are scheduled for July 2022. I cannot wait that long. I need guidance of where to go, what therapist can start working with us while we wait for the tests. What are the steps I have to follow.

Opening up to my family... crazy or smart?
Hi there, So I want some opinions from people who aren’t my friends or my therapist haha. This past spring was easily probably one of the worst and lowest parts of my life. My depression was in full swing, thoughts of the “big finale”, and even dropping college classes I should have been taking.

OCD, anxiety and depressed and support from loved ones.
I am relatively new here and I was diagnosed with contamination OCD and anxiety 4 years ago. Tried some meds and therapy for a while and it didn't help much. Had to discontinue the meds as they were interfering with my ability to work. In my case OCD is half my battle and the other half is related to

Just joined this community, I'm happy to find a place like this.
I found this community when I called the suicide hotline last night. I've been having a very difficult year. Covid has been hard, but it seems like only part of the problem. I started to not be able to do my job before covid had started due to high levels of stress. The only recent change was that I

Diseased Couple
I often jest with people stating my husband of 41 years and I are a power couple. He’s had more than of his share of medical issues really since we first got married. He latest 10 years now is Parkinson’s. What I have learned about Parkinson’s is it is one scary disease. But here is the kicker Parkinson

Hello lonely persons 12 Sep 2021
Somebody is thinking of "YOU". Glad that "YOU" are out there in this world we live in. Hoping that this is a good day and "YOU" are not too stuck in your head. I think we all are a bit but try hard to not make it too much. From the best of my understanding, too much is not a good thing. Besides

I'm not sure how to do this
I'm feeling really overwhelmed at the moment and not sure what to do. This happens to me a lot and I'm wondering if it's a symptom of the OCD. I'm wondering if it makes me feel "compelled" to do something, yet there really isn't anything to do. I'm just really overwhelmed at the moment. I'm so scared

The paradox of self evaluation
I struggle to self evaluate my mental health on a day to day basis. It's literally driving me insane. My therapist has a consistent message for me. Do what you are capable of each day and also dont be hard on yourself if you dont meet your expectations. This is the struggle. How do I know if I did

Loneliness is killing me
I had a mental breakdown today. I remembered after a few weeks again, that how lonely and sad I am. I'm never deeply happy and there's always something that is bothering me in my mind. The anxiety, the sudden fear that takes over all my body whenever I think about the future, the fact that I can go a

Sharing DBS Journey
To help manage the freezing, my dad did go through the LSVT Big and LSVT Loud programs, as well as had some
psychotherapy
sessions. Not sure the exact reasons, but they still did not accept him.

Wk6 Run1 - in the heat.
That was my first hot run. Sun was shining and temperature was up. Thanks to the advice on here, I knew it was not going to be a walk in the park. The day before (Sunday) my sister visited us. I told her about my running. When she finally got over the surprise she asked loads of questions and was genuinely
