W5 R3 - I did it!
Well tonight was the run I've been dreading - the big 20 minutes. My journey home from work did nothing to help as we got stuck on the tube in a tunnel for 25 minutes as someone had got on to the tracks and was just standing there! All the power got switched off and we had to wait for the police

Can talking about delusional memory turn it into full blown PTSD?
Hello everyone, I've been reading through your stories and things that have been shared for a while but have decided I need to speak up and ask a couple of things. The encouragement that comes from just knowing there are people who have walked some of my path is wonderful - thank you. I was in ICU

Over the last couple of weeks I have been feeling low and anxious. To give you so,e background, I'm in my early 30's with a baby and husband, work

Would anyone be interested in a meeting for having problems with OCD, PTSD etc: after your stay in ICU?
I also run a support group and I am wondering if this will help any of you. I do know that this problem varies from one person to another.

Week 8: Run 1...Rebooted
Yay. After some extra stretching, lots of water, my usual 10min warm up walk and a good old fashioned pep talk (out loud to myself not looking like a crazy person or anything :/) I completed the first run of week 8 :) all 28mins and no shin pain :). Run 2 will have to wait a couple of days because the

First Rituximab..
Well I finally had my first Rituximab infusion today after the debacle of the first attempt. No problems, feeling okay - bit stiff and tired for being sat over 6hrs but aside from that medically speaking all good. That said there were some issues, I had taken a friend with me (and fair enough hadn't

Has anyone else looked into post traumatic stress disorder and realise you have it!?
I came out of hospital in feb 2010 and have spent some time trying to research why I feel as I do! , I am getting on with my life but have realised I am definitely have PTSD, it is quite common after Icu , why should I be diagnosing myself, Icu saved my life, thank you, no follow ups though! That is

Ready for Week 7
I managed to complete W6 r3 last night. I started out thinking I may have to run/walk/run as I thought 25 mins may be too much for me. However I settled in to my run and all was going well, I agree with other bloggers that you do feel a bit abandoned by Laura as she leaves you alone for a while. However

Stamina: The 25 minute wall
It's a month since I graduated and I've drifted a bit, still running 3 times a week but just to my own music, unsure what my next goal should be. I gave B210k a go (was finding it 'challenging' ;-) ) but last week a cold stopped me running altogether - when I went out on Monday after a week's break

W5R1 - Switch on ?
Janda mentioned how this run doesn't seem as much of a test as some of the previous weeks and I have to agree. It's not that it's any easier, it isn't, it just seems that it's working, we're improving. I think Laura even mentions it in one of her pep talks. On that subject she's beginning to really

Happy hormones :D
It's been a while since I've posted, so a quick summary: Week 4, Run 3: Due to social commitments I had yet another morning run. Which I'd love to love, but they just ruin me. Got through it albeit a lot slower than W4R2 (I ran the same route and was about 150 metres behind where I was on the previous

Exhausted, exhausted, exhausted . . . I'm
so tired of it. I'm taking Plaqunil but it doesn't seem to help. Anyone have any other ideas? We are going to Disneyland in October and I'm going to need more pep and energy. Jean
