Spinal stenosis in the neck and pain
Hi everyone. I have stenosis in the neck. I get sharp pains through the base of the neck with numbness, pins and needles and finger tip pain. I have restricted movement in my neck and cannot lie flat. I could not even be put in the head brace for my mri scan. I have been under an orthopedic consultant

Back pain at 35 weeks
Hi all, I'm almost 36 weeks pregnant and have been struggling with back pain in middle left area of my back. I have seen a physio and mentioned it as I also have pelvic girdle pain. I've been given some exercises (which I've been doing before anyway) but ultimately they said it'll just get worse up until

Hello again. Not sure whether to do this as a part of the original post of start a new one. So I'm doing both. I have an update to the last extended and very helpful conversation of two months ago titled Return of GCA-like symptoms..... And a question for all you wonderfully knowledgeable people.

Hi All, In the US, March is MS Awareness month. I plan to spend this month in prayer, over myself - yes, and for all who are affected by MS. If you don't believe in a higher power, please be respectful and move on from these posts. But if you would like to, please read and join in with me in lifting

Chronic pain all over body - Help
Long story short, I was working out alot 3 years ago untill I injured my knees. That followed up by a bunch of more injuries due to overtraining and stupidity. It has been two years since my last injury and I still have constant pain in my shoulder, lower back and upper back. Hurt my shoulder while

Yet another side effect of Prednisone: tendonopathy
I was diagnosed in April 2019 with PMR, put on 20mg prednisone. I've done the usual up and down, now tapering to 7mg with the 'safety net' of Leflonamide. (My rheumatologist's phrase.) Amongst the usual side effects, I have steroid-induced Type 2 diabetes, osteopenia and weight gain. And now.....my

Injured with 5 weeks to go
Morning all, I'm looking for some advice, I foolishly over cooked the HM last Sunday and have not been able to run since with a sore calf / knee. The physio says it's not a pulled muscle more of a spasm but I can't walk on it properly let alone run. I've been following my running clubs weekly marathon

3 year runiversary and doubts creeping in
So yesterday it is 3 year's since I started running and tomorrow it will be 3 years since I started C25K, after realising that I needed some structure and encouragement if I was to stick with it! Im now in the midst of trying to train for my first marathon at the end of May. A lonely experience perhaps

FAQ GAIT ANALYSIS
As a new runner, choosing your first pair of running shoes is a bit of a shot in the dark. The ranges available are vast and the choice is utterly confusing to the uninitiated and I will admit, to some more experienced runners too. While it is possible to pick up a pair of running shoes very cheaply,

1st Run back
Saw a Physio today. (I've been resting a sore Hip. Only 1 run since 2nd week in January!). He advised various strengthening exercises, but also said to go out and run a bit. Maybe start about a third of the way into C25K. Today is a 'Running Day', (Mon, Wed, Fri), so roll on 16:15. Been out for the

FAQ WHICH SHOES?
While you can start C25K in any shoes, (one of our stalwarts started in walking boots!) there comes a time, probably no later than the end of Week 4, when you need to commit to this running thing and make sure that you are suitably shod…….and that is the point of this post, to give you pointers about

Update on friend
Well I have been talking regularly with J. And considering what she has been through (Stroke and Covid contracted in hospital) she has been remarkable in her attitude to fighting her condition. She has had 5 B12 injections (that's what is prescribed in our area) and she says it will be tested again

Update on my Partner
The pain seems to have generally reduced, but nonetheless we're arranging some
physiotherapy
for him, so hopefully he'll be able to stop taking any painkillers in the near future.

Shoulder/ neck / upper arm
hi, my HA and stents were 15 months ago. I've had on and off pains in the chest area and gone back to A&E about 5 or 6 times in that time, each time the blood tests showed no cardiac issue, so what is it? I've tried everything so my GP has sent me for more tests including gastroscopy next week. Recently

Back/hip pain
Hi all, just curious of people experiences with back or hip pain or both. Ive been experiencing really bad back/hip pain for months currently having physio which isn't helping unfortunately. I've had lumbar x ray but all ok, trying to request an mri as an xray doesn't show up certain conditions. Going
