Interestingly he re assured me that once gone it was unlikely to recur. Not sure about that one, but I plod on. Day at

September Quest
Many thanks to SueAppleRun who hosted the quest so well during August, in addition to doing a very busy job in a care home. They do say if you want anything doing, ask a busy person! September has now arrived and you have got me to keep an eye on things this month! I don’t know what you’ve done to

hydrodoxychloroquine??
Is anyone using this? My rheumy has suggested it for me as l'm stuck on 3mg and stiff. I couldn't contemplate it as I have gut and stomach problems and I can see it can affect the eyes. No thanks. So I shall carry on regardless and keep up the physio and walk more now it's cooler. Things could

bad fall
10 days ago I had a bad fall and sprained my ankle—it’s still swollen and painful, I’m doing what doc said to do for it. When I fell, I landed on my right side which is now sore and painful all the way up to my waist, including my whole lower right quadrant. I’ve been icing my right pelvic area to

progress report
I’ve been on 1mg, for a month now, and have a few adrenal fatigue symptoms, but they are passing. I’ve also managed to lose my pred weight! Off to see consultant tomorrow for next steps. No doubt she will say just stop. I am prepared to go my own slow way though. Has anyone ever been offered physio

I too was sent for physio before my diagnosis he didn't touch me,ok COVID was still going on,but after 2 sessions he gave me some exercises to do then I was told I've signed you off,his exact words were there's' nothing fundamentally wrong with you!' Well he certainly got that wrong!

Hip Replacement with PMR and PAD at age 84
A month and a half ago I was in the hospital for four days. Less complicated cases were released the same day or the next. During the second day a nurse accidentally pulled on my leg when attempting to place me back in bed after a bathroom visit. I also hurt myself getting into the bed another time

Pain four months after hip replacement surgery
Hello there, I'm writing on behalf of my mum. I was wondering if anyone could please give us some advice. Mum is 76. She has osteoarthritis and had a new hip four months ago. She was recovering well after 12 weeks, but then developed pain in the knee below the new hip. She saw a physio who said her legs

Some Good News For Me
Hi I spoke to ENT again today after finding out the waiting times for a routine referral at my hospital are 8 months. I asked my GP to speed up the referral for me and they've been as good as their word and I've got an appointment in a month's time. I was so grateful and relieved although my

Anyone had any experience with achilles weakness?
I went to the physio this morning and she did the Thompson Test and its not torn, however I can’t rise to my tip toes on that leg - so what's going on? This was preceded by a couple of weeks of a sore achilles which I (stupidly) ran through, crunchy creaky crepitus and all, now it doesn't hurt at all

Help change Health Professionals' attitudes to FM and FM diagnosis - your experiences, please... Sorry, a bit of a long read...
Background to my question.
Just had my second total knee replacement and my lovely Physio Salma at my hospital is particularly interested in trying to change attitudes toward FM in certain health sector groups and has made this a major part of her Senior Physio Thesis for which she is presenting

update on ablation . Long honest post warning!
Hi All, The Good News: I had my procedure to map out where the rogue impulses were coming from which turned out to be just about everywhere except the pulmonary veins which had been successfully ablated by cryo ablation 2 months ago . My EP said the pulmonary veins were not joining the party … 😀

Global Developmental Delay
My youngest son was diagnosed of Global Developmental Delay since June of 2020. I have no idea what it is since my two other sons were fine. It was on December of 2019 when I found out that my son is delayed from his development. He was born on March of 2019 and after that I left him with the nanny and

Catching Up!
With one thing and another, I haven’t been on here for ages (except for replying to Irish John’s post about marathon running which I happened across). Those of you who follow me on Strava will have seen that I’m still running. One reason for my absence is that my knees have been playing up (although

Pudendal Neuralgia Question
I've had pelvic floor physio and a nerve block injection and I still have very severe chronic pudendal neuralgia pain. My review after the nerve block isn't for 6 weeks so has anybody got any info out there on avenues that I might be able to explore to get rid of this awful pain.
