My physio said I can't run for a few weeks. Hold me.
Turns out the hip flexor pain in my left hip was not my hip flexor. I have mild bursitis, and my flat feet are causing strain to my joint. I am cleared to walk and do strength exercises so that's something. I was just in such a groove with my running. I'm trying to be positive but I'm pretty gutted.

Intercostal, Pec muscle pain
Hi I picked up a suitcase in April that I didn’t realise was heavy as it was with my left arm and felt something which hurt like hell a few days later on my left chest above and below the nipple Doc said it was probably pectoralis minor or intercostal muscle Had physio who said it was probably pec

G'day, beloved ms Family. I hope the day is going well for you. Mine is good nice and quiet and a bunch of bills that I was stressed about I think I have worked out how to pay off. Actually, it was she who must be obeyed that gave me the idea, so let's hope it works. I should know by the end

Back ache
Hi, I wrote 2 months ago about my back back and how I have trouble walking or even standing at the sink for more than 5 minutes without being in severe pain. Since then I have had numerous phone calls to the Doc, I have been given Naproxen, CoCodomel and Omeprazole. to take every day.I discussed MPS

Crutches for Pelvic girdle pain?
Hi all, has anyone had experience of using crutches during the later stages of pregnancy to cope with Pelvic pain? The physio recommend it to me at 31 weeks and I said no, but a few weeks on and now the pain is getting much worse and more frequent. I'm wondering whether to try them...

Why is Hashimoto's not on my physio's list of auto-immune disorders?
I attended an appointment to have a steroid injection in my hip for bursitis. The physio asked if I had any auto-immune disorders. I said Hashimoto's thyroiditis. She'd never heard of it so looked it up in her NHS work computer. Not on the list. I had the jab and am fine but am wondering if this is

Hello all. Anyone else experienced ‘slowed down’ walking and pain with hypothyroid?
Hi. I’ve recently been diagnosed hypothyroid. What got me to the GP in the end (despite experiencing some other classic symptoms, I now realise on reflection) was a sense of not gaining strength and fitness from the endless dog walking I do. In fact I was slowing down in my pace, really struggling with

Galloping towards the end of the Magic Plan- week 6 done!
Hi Runners, I hope you’ve all had a good week! We have absolutely smashed week 6 of the magic plan (timed version), completing our first 55mins run this morning and guess what, we smashed 7KM!! 😱💥👊🏼 I have been running in my light up Xmas bobble hat, and listening to my cheesy Christmas playlist

Menopause and Endo
Hi, since having a Caesarean section 24 years ago, I have suffered from painful adhesions. I had 2 laparoscopies in that time, and on both occasions no Endo was found. 4 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, had a mastectomy and reconstruction, which meant more surgery on my stomach, more scarring

Doctors say I have PD?
Maybe they're right. I've been seen by 5 or 6 doctors who all agree I have PD. Two say it's probably PD and MS. Last night while moving the scooter into the garage it fell over with my foot trapped between the kickstand and floor. My wife is an hour away so not available to help. It fell as

I am Home!
After 6 long weeks and some dark days I am at last home and sleeping in my own bed. Having some community physio for a while but hopefully that won’t be long. Being assessed for home oxygen so see how that goes. Onwards and upwards from here on in and can go at my own pace. The kitties were really

Long awaited appointment cancelled
My physio told me he was referring me back to my haematology department (as they seem to be in charge of my care) because (he says) my compression fractures are due to the blood cancer. I have been in pain for five months and now will have to wait another month due to my appointment on 9th being cancelled

Is RLS affected by back/neck issues
I was wondering if spinal problems can cause or contribute to RLS. I've had lower back issues for years, but recently I've also been having a lot of shoulder and neck problems too. I've been to see a physio, I've changed my pillow and have been making an effort to sit supported properly in a chair.

Advice on accessing NHS help after private diagnosis
Hi, I have just received my diagnosis of Hypermobile EDS with Marfanoid phenotype via a private consultation with Dr Mittal. I had previously been diagnosed by an NHS Rheumatologist with Joint Hypermobility 3 years ago but the Rheumy point blank refused to consider EDS as I "wasn't in a wheelchair",

Is there anyone who has undergone chiropractic treatment for back pain?
Even though we took her for
physiotherapy
treatment, there was no improvement. When we did an online search to find an alternate solution, we found this chiropractic centre that does chiropractic treatment https://www.oakvillechiropractic.com/chiropractic-centre-burlington .
