Am pleased to say that my mum has been making progress. She still has the tracheostomy on, however she had done 12 hours ventilator free breathing yesterday, she handled it well and reached her target. Her target today is to reach 24 hour ventilator free breathing. She sat on a chair as part of her physio yesterday and has said I love you to my sister. It was really nice to hear positive feedback from the same doctor who told us that my mum wasn’t going to make it a few weeks ago. Hope your loved ones all get better. And do not give up hope 💕💕

That is amazing news! Thank you for the update 🙂
Absolutely wonderful news .
Excellent news 🥳🥳🥳🥳
So great to hear!!! ❤️
That’s really good news. I expect she will get very tired, it will take a while for her to get her strength back. She may find the chair very uncomfortable because of the loss of weight (no natural padding) so her back may bruise.
If you want to know anything about the trachy please ask.
AND don’t forget to look after yourself
That is fantastic news!
