Hi everyone. I'm feeling like my rheumy is just ignoring my pleas when I'm telling him about my pain and fatigue. Had some bloods done last week. I had to chase him up today with the results. And this is the response I got (see attached photos)I feel like I need a little boost of something to help me get back to normal. I'm falling into a depressive state. Since I've had covid in mid December I'm just about now normal as normal as we lupies are. However I've had severe back pain and sciatica since then and its not getting better. When i do the physio exercises it seems to aggravate it more and the pain is also travelling to the other hip. I'm on strong pain killers which don't work for long and ofcourse the drowsy side effects. Now a new fatigue (lupus flare) has also kicked in. I'm trying to get myself back to work and there's so much going on. I'm thinking i should change rheumys.

Feeling upset with rheumy
So sorry to hear you are suffering and that letter is really unhelpful . How does he know what a mild flare feels like ? Is he having one 🤷♀️.
Do you have a kind helpful GP? Just wondering if you explained pain to him he might be able to offer a different pain killer (I think some work in different ways ) .
You could try to
Email physio and tell them exercises are making pain worse as that should never be the case with exercises . It should feel a little uncomfortable but never painful and you know your body .
I can sense how overwhelmed you feel and I totally sympathise . So sorry I can’t offer much help but I would try GP to maybe ask if can try something different .
Take care and cliche I know but one day at a time . Be super kind to yourself xxx
Thanks so much for youkind words. I've got a variety of pain killers here and I am taking them but quite hesitatant to take them. Do people just take pain killers on a regular basis?
I think you’d be quite surprised how many people take regular pain relief 😖
They definitely have a place and you need to function and shouldn’t be in pain 😔... always good to get advice though from nurse or GP if different professionals have prescribed them as some may interact with your current meds .
Hope that helps x
Sorry you’re having a tough time. Sadly you can’t rush things, take it easy, rest well and maybe speak to your gp. Best wishes 🙏
