Levothyroxine and Iron Supplements
I've just bought some iron supplements in the hope it might boost my energy levels but I've read online they can interfere with levothyroxine. Could anyone give me some advice on whether it's safe to take them? I take my levo in the morning so could I take the iron in the evenings?

Hi everybody I’m extremely new to this sight and truthfully I hadn’t ever heard of Lupus before I don’t really still fully understand it if I’m honest so any help would be so greatfully received. I’m 45 married two children which I adore, I had my Thyroid gland removed when I was 30 due to having multinodular

Pain Relief offered on NHS
UK Fibro Friends: I am recently diagnosed & all my doctor has offered me is co-codamol. The specialist even recommended that this was the best level of pain control, after talking to me for less than 10 minutes. It doesn’t really touch my pain & id like to ask for something stronger, but I’m nervous

Pericarditis diagnosed 10 weeks ago/now don't know what it is?
I was diagnosed with Acute Pericarditis 10 weeks ago however after 8 weeks of treatment colchicine, ibuprofen, co-codamol my symptoms were getting worse. At the moment my cardiologist doesn't know what it is but he's pretty sure its not pericarditis. As such I'm having other tests however these take

New and in need of some advice
Hello, I’m 29 and have been struggling with period pain for years, pretty much since I first started my periods at age 12. Over the past couple of months they have become progressively worse I.e. I take the 30/500 co-codamol and it’s not been hitting the period pain at all, I’m literally still writhing

Food Reaction Tests
My early symptoms for what they were are in remission. I still have a swollen finger, but the generalised pain has gone. My ankles and knees are occasionally a bit achy, but my stiff hands in the morning have gone away. I can drive without discomfort and don't have to remove my shoes in the office.

Everything hurts - almost.
This is my first time posting here. I have posted on the PMR board which was very helpful. I have been convinced I have it in addition to RA because of chronic shoulder pain, particularly the right one. Up until 2 years ago I had been pain free on Enbrel followed by Remicade and then it all went pear-shaped

Unexplained Upper Gastrointestinal bleeding Omeprazole
Had 2 episodes of upper gastrointestinal bleeding (Meleana). One 2015 and the other June 2018. Resulted in iron deficiency anaemia and recent one rapid onset and collapse with emergency admission to A and E. Had all usual tests of camera down throat; capsule endoscopy and colonoscopy with no culprit

Mebeverine
Hi I've been prescribed Mebeverine and told to only take when I have IBS? Pain, with paracetamol. I think it does help but sometimes when pain is really bad, paracetamol is not really strong enough. I have been advised I can take co-dydramol but haven't tried this yet. Can anyone advise on how often

Taking cod liver oil and fish oil
Hi, my name is Scott Hughes. I was hoping someone could help me answer a question that is bugging me. I have ordered a packet of omega-3 fish oil capsules and a packet of cod liver oil. Now, I know that you are not supposed to take both capsules together, but is there any harm, for example, taking 1

Anyone else having to battle each time they need an iron infusion?
I’ve had PA since I was a teenager, although it took them years to identify it and I was 23 by the time I received my first loading doses. The main reason they missed the PA was due to an ongoing iron anaemia which was disguising the cell shapes on blood tests. The B12 was treated but the iron issue

Gastritis leading to anaemia
I have just had a gastroscopy and have gastritis and duodenitis, they now want to do a colonoscopy because I have low trasnsferrin (10) and haemaglobin levels of 110 which is a bit below the normal so I am anaemic. Has anyone else been down this path? I know I have gastritis because that is how I have
