Topical Treatment for RA Joint Pain
I could try to reduce the inflammation with, say, ibuprofen, and the pain with an analgesic (
paracetamol
or codine), but given that the pain tends to be in only a couple of joints (at the moment my right wrist and right knee) I wondered whether it might be worth trying a topical anti-inflammatory (like

Pain in right bicep approx 8-9 hrs after Pred
I can control the pain with
Paracetamol
and sleep, and when I awake in the morning ( usually 8am ish) the bicep pain has gone. Another indicator to me that the adrenals are functional, but not 100%.

4+2 but feeling awful - tonsillitis 😢 has anyone had antibiotics this early and all been ok?
I took some
paracetamol
but have been awake literally all night with pain! Went to the doctors this morning and he thinks I have tonsillitis 😢 prescribed me 10 days of antibiotics (apparently pregnancy safe). I just wondered if anyone has been in a similar boat and all been ok?

Non stop pain at 13 weeks
I was prescribed 4 x codeine a day by A&E but I’ve since read that’s bad for pregnant women so haven’t had any and have just stuck to
paracetamol
. I’m desperate to know that this pain will stop / any tips on what can help.

stage 4 endo bowel 100pc worse after Mirena coil
I’m in constant agony only relief comes from naproxen and two
paracetamol
for a few hours then I need to wait until the next dose. I feel like my own body has me hostage. I’ve never felt like this before. Consultant can’t see me now until November. How am I supposed to survive until then?

post laparoscopy recovery
The pain around my stitches I’m managing with
paracetamol
and ibruprofen if needed. But the things I’m really struggling with is when I eat or drink anything I’m feeling extremely nauseous after and having some pain with gas build up and opening my bowels and I’ve also been experiencing diarrhoea.

Has anyone else experienced a flare then a paralysis the of hand and wrist
I've tried hot water bottles and ice bandages, I've taken naproxen and tramadol and
paracetamol
. I've rubbed it with ibuprofen gel and I still have no use in it and my fingers are splayed out so I keep knocking it on things.... I'm trying not to worry but I've never had this before

Non-medical pain relief in pregnancy?
I am taking token
paracetamol
and considering codeine, but am nervous about the potential risks so would rather explore non-medical options first. Has anyone found endo pain relief from treatments like reflexology, shiatsu, reiki, acupuncture etc?

I would like to hear your experience of pelvic congestion syndrome
I can only take
paracetamol
and cannot take anti inflammatory drugs because I have kidney problems and I am very sick when taking opiods. I use a Tens machine which for a very short time reduces the pain. Have you been successful in finding treatment that works to get control of the pain.?

Newly diagnosed but don’t want to take pred
I currently take ibuprofen,
paracetamol
and codeine daily despite hating pill taking but need it to get me thru the day. I think inflammatory markers are currently around 30…. so my question is, does anyone here manage their condition without meds?

Paracetamol
works just for a little while and I am scared to take it all the time. I did acupuncture before Ivf and it worked for a while. I tried it again a couple weeks ago and I felt really sick. I am going to try massage soon but everyone is so booked up. Anyone having the same problem? xxx

Itching induced by emotional stress whilst on low dose of Pred
No pain, or if I do get discomfort in my arm as a result of sleeping on my side, it is controlled by
Paracetamol
. I’m thinking it’s Adrenal inability to meet the challenge of life and that I should be ok to continue the current taper.

Off Tocilizumab after six months
Although the headaches go away when I take
paracetamol
, but not the shooting pain so I'm not sure what's going on... To top it all I recently had a Covid19 booster, (Sinopharm) I'm not sure if this is a reaction to the vaccine.

Tips for better sleep?
For the past week I have not been sleeping well. But tonight really takes the biscuit as my back is in terrible pain that hot water bottles nor paracetomol and ibuprofen is taking even the slightest edge off. All I've wanted to do All weekend is sleep and have had a few naps. The doctors hasn't given

Trying to make sense
It doesn't respond to GTN, and
paracetamol
barely touches it. It's near impossible to speak to the cardiologist, and my GP has admitted previously that she isn't too knowledgeable in this area (I think this is normal) Sorry for the rant, this is running laps in my head!
