C25K Week 6 run 2 Revisited

As I don't work Mondays these days I wanted to get another run in .But yesterday was not a good day .

I had a headache most of the day then the evening involved several trips to the little room upstairs 😐

Nuf said !

Then not a great nights sleep and finally woke up at 6 with another headache 😟

So a couple of paracetamol, a mug of tea and back to bed !

Eventually getting up around 8:15 and feeling ok again .

So a lazy morning with porridge for breakfast then a soak in the bath (Is that the wrong way around ? Who cares )

Anyway, around 10:50 I decided to go and do my run .

The last one was a revisit of C25k Week 6 run 1

So decided on Week 6 run 2 today.

The last one was on the treadmill but this one was outside.

It was nice to run with Laura again and it all felt quite familiar.

A nice slow start and into the first 10 minutes.

This wasn't too bad as it is similar to the runs I had been doing lately and the first 10 minutes was completed ok .

3 minutes walk and into the 2nd 10 minutes run, again similar to what I had been doing apart from I previously took a couple more short walks so this was a little step up without another walk .

The first 5 or 6 minutes were ok but I'm not going to say easy ! Then the last 4 or 5 minutes were more of a challenge, but a doable challenge.

So, Week 6 Runs 1 and 2 Revisited successfully.

And my horse friend was waiting at the gate for me to finish πŸ™‚

I probably won't get chance to get out again now for a few days but we will see and I will then go for Week 6 run 3

It will be nice to revisit the 25 minutes run as I have the perfect soundtrack which lasts just over 24 minutes which of course is Pink Floyd's Echoes.

Happy running! πŸ™‚

I always know everything’s right with the world when I see a photo of your horsey friend! Sorry to hear you had a bit of a headache but pleased you overcame it and got out there. A bath beforehand can’t have done any harm either! 😁

Lovely horse, sorry about your headaches but happy that you are feeling better after you ran run 2 of week 6, so another visit to run 3 of week 6 in a few days time, good luck Ian on that 25 minute run πŸƒπŸΎβœ…πŸ‘

Great to have a four legged friend to meet you at the end of your run. Sorry about the headaches and er, other troubles. That bath and porridge must have been exactly what you needed this morning. Glad the run happened-I like the description of the last part as a challenge but a doable one. That sounds exactly how my run felt yesterday too! Hopefully you next run will have a headache free build up to it. Have fun with Laura and Pink Floyd. Great combination!πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Even after a rubbish day of feeling poorly you managed to get out and have a good run. I think you’ll really enjoy that next one with your soundtrack at the ready πŸ˜‰
