Problem with new oesphageal stent fitted
My husband had an oesophageal stent fitted 3 weeks ago. It has not eased or helped any of his previous symptoms, if anything he is worse. Bad cough, sick every day, nothing stays down, on soup and custard only. Losing weight, lethargic, had an infection and on 7 days of antibiotics which has helped

Meds, chocolate and migraines
I’m kicking myself... I’ve always been a chocoholic, so in my 30’s (pre RA), I munched away merrily on chocolate, I suffered awful headaches really, really bad ones and they’d last for days, weeks even. I also had hay fever, so put these headaches down to allergic rhinitis. Took antihistamine and paracetamol

Hi
Hi everyone, I'm new to this group and glad to find you! I was diagnosed with PMR last year and the relief to be on 20mg Pred was great. I managed to reduce to 5mg over the months, but then BOOM! Major flare up and back to square one. Now I seem to be yo-yoing between 20/17.5mg, and having to take paracetamol

Dry socket after upper wisdom tooth extraction?
Hi there! I had a bottom wisdom tooth extracted in November. I am allergic to codiene so when I got dry socket, all I could take was paracetemol and ibuprofen. The dentist couldn't offer me any pain relief medication and my doctor's office basically just thought I was scamming them for painkillers when

Post vaccination - High pulse, fever
Hi, post vaccination with Astrazenenca, my mother had heart pulse raised from 81 (pre vaccination) to 108 in half an hour post the shot. She developed fever (101 deg F) this morning and 102 deg F currently (pulse at 110). I am giving her paracetamol. Spoke to the physician and may have to go to go for

Reaching the end of my wait to see if my first FET has been successful. Test day is tomorrow but have been feeling really down last few days. I have had little symptoms just some bloating!until the last couple of days. Just started to feel extremely hungry all the time, nausea, sweats during the night

What pain meds can I take?
I took a tumble today and boy did I sprain and strain some back muscles. I know I cannot take Ibuprofen/Motrin/muscle relaxant with the meds I'm taking for a-fib. What are some of my options for over the counter pain relief? Everybody's medical offices are closed now because it's a Saturday evening

Teenage daily migraines
First of all, sorry about my long-winded message. My 14 year old daughter has been getting daily “migraine-like” headaches that last from the moment she wakes up to the moment she goes to sleep. (This is the description the neurologist gives). She has had them now for 3 months & is unable to participate

AZ vaccination side effects
So many helpful posts here so I thought I would add my AZ vaccination experience for those who haven't had it yet. As background, I have RA and currently take Plaquenil 200mg daily as a maintenance dose (I previously took methotrexate for about 18 months but had to come off it because of elevated liver

Running after the jab
Had my jab on Wednesday and decided to go out for my usual Thursday run as completing week 7. . Just took it really easy and all fine. I have a headache which can be part of the after effects so my only advice is take the paracetamol and drink loads - i definitely should have topped up my fluids more

Covid jab after effects.
Hi all, I guess this applies to so many. Had the jab 24 hours on feeling slight flu like symptoms taking paracetamol but thankfully not too bad a temperature. Going to just have a duvet type day. With regards to taking the oxford version felt no pain in fact felt worse pin pricks.

Nerve pain when skin is touched!
Hi everyone I have sle lupus among other overlap conditions. I recently have been diagnosed with fibro. My symptoms are that I have severe pain in and around my shoulder, upper back, neck and chest wall. So basically if I run a finger tip along my skin on these areas I literally explode in a weird sensation
