Covid vaccine and sciatica
Hello all, My first time posting here so hope I’ve done it right. I had my first astra Zeneca vaccination yesterday and immediately had a headache and last night a slight fever, but today nothing. But my sciatica pain yesterday evening and all night has been worse that ever, literally climbing the walls

Post Ablation Ramblings ....... Revenge of the Oesophagus
Evening all. Day 3 update incoming. I was rudely awakened at 4am again by the pain/discomfort alarm. Hubby bought me some warm water, which seemed to help. It was worse this time, especially between the shoulders but I resisted paracetamol as I'd already taken some before I went to bed. It has been better

Inane Post Ablation Ramblings.....The Sequel
Good evening folks Hope all is good with you. Today has not been as good as yesterday. My tongue is better (hubby is obviously thrilled that I am in full chat mode again) but I woke up at 4am with some slight chest pain/discomfort. Did my Quasi Wayne stagger to the bathroom and popped a couple of paracetamol

Migraine/headache
I have bad head pain today and I can't figure out if it is a headache or migraine. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are having little effect. I get these episodes every few weeks but this is the the worst for a long time.

Cataract Op tomo
I’m having a cataract op tomorrow. Should I increase my pred dose? Have been looking for a pinned post but can’t find one. I’m currently on 6mg. Not feeling great at that achy top arms and thighs but manageable with paracetamol

2nd dose
Morning all, I had my second jab yesterday early morning. By 9pm last night I felt rough and like I’d caught a chill. I took a couple of paracetamol and woke up right as rain this morning. 😀 It a beautiful morning here, just waiting in Christie for my 3 monthly.

Post Ablation pain
I had an Ablation done last Friday 9th April. Since then I have had pain in my chest which I have been told is Pericardial inflammation. I have been taking Colchicine, Codiene and Paracetamol. I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this and how long it lasted for. It doesn't seem to be improving

Use of NSAID SOONER?
Pain Relief? How to manage, or try to manage. I have prescriptions for celecoxib and etoricoxib. I usually try to cope without either, then as pain gets worse try regular paracetamol. Only when I am desperate do I start with the NSAID. Is this the right approach? Should I start with the NSAID sooner

Might I have Mastocytosis rather than MCAS?
Hi, I experienced a very strange phenomenon last night that I've never had before and it's made me question my diagnosis of MCAS. I had a reheated (pretty old!) home-made cauliflower cheese. I had had it the night before too and it had caused horrendous bloating, which I'm used to (I have IBS) but I

Duloxetine
Hi Paige, I have taken Duloxetine for 10 years. I take the highest dose of 120mg slow release once a day in the morning. I am very susceptible to drugs but apart from piling weight on I have had none. It keeps me sane. I also take Amitryptyline 20mg at night and 30/500 Codeine phosphate Paracetamol.

Medication
Today, my son had his 2nd COVID jab. Horray! He has his own flat/tenancy within a supported living complex. I gave him 10 mls of liquid paracetamol, which was ok'd by the GP who gave the vaccine. However, I'm now thinking I'm going to get accused of not acting in his best Interests because i didn't ask
