Upped pred

I upped prednisone to 20mg this morning, omg what a tough night! Iv only been diagnosed 6 weeks and was on 15mg. I also wonder does anyone wake with a mild headache it does pass but seems to be there in morning which I take done paracetamol for. All advise is greatly received. Thank you.

Does the paracetamol help? If so unlikely to be PMR/GCA related, more likely because you’re not sleeping well, in a difference position or stressed.But more information might help...and what do you exactly mean by tough night?

I was told about Slippery Sheets from another PMR Patient. They helped a lot and ....I still use them, not the same ones, the first lot went to re-cycling.

Other names are Glide Sheets, Easy sheets. Use your search engine and have a read.

Hopefully the extra will improve the back ache - not being able to turn over in bed is a common symptoms in PMR.

I find myself in a similar situation and just being new to the site have discovered many fabulous ideas and knowledge. We are assuming I have PMR, initially 5 weeks ago put on 15mg - rheumatologist told me to go to 12.5 Bad idea I am not quite as bad as at first but now need my base bed to get me up and out of bed in the morning and pain and stiffness. I cant get another appointment with Rheumatologist for 3 weeks so my Dr. suggested I go to 20 mg. I am getting what appears to be Prednisone headaches and am worried . After reading the posts I just got the pharmacist to give me some 1mg pills and will try and boost up by 1 mg first and see what happens.
