I feel constantly foggy and stoned. I don’t do drugs only prednisone and paracetamol which I take in morning. Can I swap time from 8 am to 10 pm or will this cause problems. I thought it may be prednisone I hate it please help. Tnsmks

There are people who take their pred before bed to try to avoid side effects like that. For some people pred makes it difficult to sleep. Another option might be to split the dose - the lower dose may make it less of a problem,

The only way to find out is to try - just bring the next morning's dose forward and see what happens. It should improve as your body gets used to the pred and the dose goes down.

Why are you taking paracetamol? Does it help? It rarely does anything for PMR so it may be something you don't need to take.

I used to find that too so took it so that the worst of it was at bed time and I slept through that part until the insomnia bit kicked in later, usually about 5am. The effect reduced with dose.

It may help as you then sleep while you might be feeling rough. 2am is ideal, but you may be asleep by then!!

I go bed around 10.30 but I hate all this eating with it. I wanted to do fasting again. Any ideas on omeprozol verses lanzoprozol for IBS pkease

I have a coated version of pred so I don’t bother with a PPI, which helps cut down on the tablets, although Lanzoprozol seems to be the favourite in the articles I have read. I just have a piece of hard cheese with my pred.

You don’t need a big meal with Pred, as piglette says - a piece of cheese - or a small yogurt, or just a couple of spoonfuls, some have a small slice of bread or toast, even a banana, couple of spoonfuls of cereal, just something for the digestive acids to work on.
