GP knew less than I did about RLS :’-(
my RLS has got considerably worse and I’m at my maximum dosage. I called for an appointment with my GP and initially she said it did sound like I had RLS. Whilst on the phone she was googling it. She seemed to think iron wouldn’t help as I’m not anemic. I’m going to buy iron supplements anyway and

15mg MTX on holiday and in pain
Good afternoon my pmr diagnoses from July ‘22 was changed to RA in Dec’22 I’ve been taking 15mg MTX since February while reducing from 10mg pred to zero. (Starting on 20mg) I’m currently on holiday in Crete and had hoped that rest, sunshine would ease my pains but unfortunately it hasn’t, possibly slightly

Raw/sore throat & Inhalers
Hi All, I've had asthma for the past 45 yeats and used inhalers both brown and blue for 43yrs. In the last 6yrs I've been suffering with an irritated throat with a lot of white patches and the odd red spot or thread like lines on the roof of my mouth and back of my throat. I also suffer from tinnitus

Cold medication
Hello, I think I may be coming down with a cold. I seldom get one and usually rely on Beecham hot lemon powders or similar. However I am now on edoxaban and Bisoprolol and I am wondering what cold medication, other than paracetamol, it is safe to take? Thanks in advance, for any advice!

Itchy skin
Morning, I have had bouts of itchy skin (with nothing to see )which I think comes with the territory of a lupus diagnosis . I am careful with soap powders , foods , creams and perfumes . But recently my skin has been terrible and I feel I’m missing something and would appreciate the thoughts of anyone

Prednisolone and osteoarthritis
As I posted recently, after more than a year of taking 2.5 mg of pred daily, at long last I had an appointment with a rheumatologist who advised me to reduce to 2 mg and then by 0.5 mg reductions at intervals to get down to zero pretty quickly. I'd experienced before that when I reduced my pred dose

pacemaker is over a week old
been over a week since pacemaker was fitted First few days uncomfortable I didn’t take paracetamol as my logic was if it hurts I’ll be less inclined to lift my arm above my head Day four pain eased off dramatically Still struggled with sleep position and found myself in knowingly with my left arm
