B12 injections and hip replacement

Hallo I had a hip replacement 2wks ago and feel I need to top up on my B12 injections.

I am now on paracetamol only for pain but injecting my self once a day with Inhixa a blood thinner.

Is it ok to inject B12 just need some advice and comments please.

As there was most likely Nitrous Oxide in the anaesthetic gas for your operation , it will have have depleted your B12 , and it would be good to replace it with B12 injections . No reason not to do this .

Thanks Wedgwood for replying but I actually had an epidural and sedation so could that have depleted my B12 as well.

Yes , it could have , but there’s no reason at all why you should not top up with extra B12 injections . Wishing you a swift recovery . 👍💐

I usually need extra B12 after an illness etc.

I just had cataract surgery on both eyes, and felt like I really needed a top up, if nothing else I think the stress and anxiety of the procedure has a huge effect on your body. Happy healing.

I am not medically trained, but it seems to me that healing requires creation of new cells, and creating new cells with accurate copies of DNA requires B12.
