Tension headaches with jaw tightness
Hi everyone, My 0.5 mg per week taper (recommended by my rheumy and endo), is working well for me. My muscle pain has finally gone away, indicating that it was indeed steroid mylagia, not PMR inflammation, as they suspected. I am at 3 mg and I feel a million times better, physically and mentally.

Good morning everyone - sunny chilly day here in Devon - uplifting after all the grey and rain! So it’s now 7 weeks since I started Pred at 15mg and after return from golf holiday in Spain which went very well and was in no pain at all - so after 3 weeks cut to 12.5 which also settled well and body

PMR or not?
I had stiffness and muscle pain, so went to docs. He took blood tests all of which came back great apart from ESR and CRP. They were 53 and 44. Doc said he would take more bloods in 28 days. By the 28 days still stiffness and aches but bloods were going down, 44 and 33. He had spoken to Rheumi specialist

Hello, I've been lurking in the corner for several weeks, reading and absorbing the wealth of knowledge here and would like to say a huge thank you for all who contribute. It really has been a godsend since my diagnosis. Quick background as I seem to have been one of the fortunate ones with a diagnosis

Advice please on paroxysmal afib
Hi all, I was diagnosed with lone AF in 2020. I think most of you are familiar with my story. My episodes (very symptomatic) were about every 4 months lasting up to 36 hours before reverting back to NSR. I have started to have them more frequently so went for an ablation which was scheduled for this week

Hello there, help please! Results listed below....I have always been symptomatic with Hashimoto's, diagnosed 2019. Was on just levo for years but after DIO2 testing and conversion rate of t4 to t3 being low I was started on a trial of T3 in march 2023. I always have blood testing between 8am and 9am.

Leg Pain
Hi all, not sure which group,to seek information from. I also belong to the arthritis group. Just to say the physio diagnosed arthritis nearly 6 weeks ago when things were not so bad. I have followed her exercises daily. All that’s happened is the pain is worse and the most awful pins and needles

18 wks sharp pain in upper left ribs
Hi can anyone tell me if you have experienced pain in the left rib area this early on as I’ve read that it’s more common with in the third trimester. Had a scan to rule out gallbladder and other bits of anatomy looked ok. Mentioned this to the midwife and she told me I can take paracetamol if I need

Update on Dental Implant Surgery
A quick note to say that it all went well. I am currently on 3mg pred. The dental surgeon advised 10 mg the morning of the surgery. I was also given paracetamol and antibiotics. Tooth extracted, implant inserted with some bone graft. Not pleasant but it didn’t hurt at all. Followed the hygiene instructions

Need a bit of tlc
Am in hospital just having had a keyhole surgery to remove a large cyst and my remaining ovary. Am so bloated with all the CO2 they pumped into me so the surgeon could see what he was doing that I feel like 6months pregnant which would indeed by a miracle and a half! It is 3am and there is no way that

Does this sound like endo?
I have had chronic pelvic/ lower back pain for the past 12 years, it flares up to the point where I can't do anything, but lay in bed and then after a few days to weeks it calms down to just the "usual pain/ache" and the cycle continues. I have been to see so many doctors and trips to A&E over the years

Costochondritis Advice
I have recently been diagnosed with Costochondritis. My question is does anyone find that the pain migrates around the base of their back or down one side of the body. Also can anyone recommend anything other than paracetamol/ibuprofen as these dont seem to be working for me anymore. Thanks in advance
