A quick note to say that it all went well. I am currently on 3mg pred. The dental surgeon advised 10 mg the morning of the surgery. I was also given paracetamol and antibiotics. Tooth extracted, implant inserted with some bone graft. Not pleasant but it didn’t hurt at all. Followed the hygiene instructions to the letter. Lived on cheesy mash, eggs and other soft food for a week. Lost 5lb 😂Went back to 3.5 mg pred the day after, then 3mg since. Check up yesterday and it’s healing nicely. The crown won’t be fitted until it’s completely healed in about three months. I’ve made the decision not to start any zolendronic infusions until it’s all over, and I’ll review the information and make a decision at that point. Thanks everyone for your advice. 😊

Phew! Pleased that all went well 🙂.
Excellent news. Having had one implant last year, and waiting for another to be completed next month, I would say that your experience is par for the course.
That all sounds like good care. Glad it’s almost over, the next bit is not bad.
Good news.
