17wks sharp pain in upper left ribs

Hi can anyone tell me if you have experienced pain in the left rib area this early on as I’ve read that it’s more common with in the third trimester. Had a scan to rule out gallbladder and other bits of anatomy looked ok. Mentioned this to the midwife and she told me I can take paracetamol if I need to and whilst it helps a little, it is still hurting. Went back to the midwife and she said it could be stretching pain or might have nothing to do with pregnancy. Not really helpful as not sure where to turn for help. So wondering if anyone else has experienced this and found a solution? Thanks x

Could maybe be trapped wind - lie on the bed - knees drawn up and gently roll from side to side Also make sure not constipated - drink plenty of fluids to keep movements soft - sorry tmi but it may help

Hope it settles soon

Thanks Janet I will try that just in case. I’ve also been taking paracetamol which takes the edge of so was thinking might be muscular.
