MRI query
today I went to hospital for X-ray on my hip got talking to the chap and when I said I wish I could have had an MRI as they show in more detail and he said why didn’t I , I said because I had
pacemaker
and was told no coming into contract with magnets, and he said the new pacemakers used at this hospital

AV - Ablation and Tachycardia-Bradycardia
After a recent visit and consultation with my doctor, he suggested I go forward with an AV node ablation, since I already was being somewhat controlled by a
pacemaker
. Yesterday, I had the procedure.

to be implanted early next month. Have AFIB, mostly controlled the last year + but before then 3 Ablations and a few Cardioversions. Metronics monitor occasionally reports a slower than normally slow pulse. What should I anticipate and be aware of after this procedure? Thanks

Heart Issues post Ivor Lewis
Now 5 years post surgery and the afib is worse but I also have Braychardia ( very low heart rate) Looks like I will need a cardiac ablation and perhaps a
pacemaker
. Just wondering if anyone has had similar happen.

AV node ablation with pacemaker implant
However, he advised me that it is with some risks, the procedure, and also with a
pacemaker
implanted. I'm on Atenolol, 12 mg once a day, and Digoxin, 75 mg. I feel unwell and without energy. Any similar circumstance to comment on, thanks for reading.😪

Every so often I get a very hot sensation around where my pm is , there’s no swelling g or redness but feels so warm under the skin . Just wondered if anyone else ever gets this too ? I’ve had my pm since 2020 so haven’t had any recent procedures . Thank you

Bicuspid MRI result
subsequently stayed on the cardiac ward for 5 days after discovering enlarged heart and an EF of less than 20% I'm on all the usual medication but my MRI has shown little or no improvement (around 7 weeks on the meds) my EF is now 25% so personally I see that as an improvement but consultant has advised

been a while
hi all it’s been over 12 months since my uncle had his surgery, does anyone still get odd pains where the
pacemaker
is located like sharpness. He does have a Hiatus hernia as well which don’t help. He’s had X-rays and nothing is wrong.

what do I do
We had a little boy 21/06/22 who has neonatal lupus and congenital heart block, he had a
pacemaker
fitted 24/04/23 so things have been hard. My partners flares are getting worse each time, we did a kidney home test and it came back positive.

Would be interested to hear if anyone is living with a biventricular
pacemaker
as this may be an option for my heart failure.

need to have pacemaker fitted
Hi I have had Diffuse Systemic Sclerosis for about 14 years and been told very recently I need a
pacemaker
. Just wondered if anyone here has had one fitted and what their story is, i.e., why
pacemaker
had to be fitted, , how was the procedure and how they are now. Thanks in advance 😊

Good News Today
Everything is breaking down but as long as it’s not my heart and
pacemaker
, I think I’m very happy. For those that didn’t know, there was no
pacemaker
for me until recently when it was released by the FDA. I also have heart failure, so things were not looking good. Talk about a turnaround.
