With the recent recognition of the role of bile acids (BAs) in systemic metabolic regulation, it is worthwhile to re-examine the function of the GB, which can be regarded as the physiological "
pacemaker
" of BA flow.

Pacemaker implanted. Long road ahead
The
pacemaker
has recorded some episodes of AF since the implant, but I havent been asked to start anticoagulants yet. I wonder why. Sorry about the long post.. just needed some shared experience to tell me that this is not as unusual as it seems.. thanks a lot in advance..

Bad Heart? Painful Joints? Read this !
OK, I have HCM, CRT
Pacemaker
and a range of drugs including Entresto. On paper I should have been feeling great, but I always felt rough, hangover, rough and to top it my joints ached, and my wedding ring finger developed a painful joint which slowly got worse.

another ablation
Now I am paced with
pacemaker
I have developed LSHF which although is easily managed with furosemide does not leave me happy. What in other opinion are my chances of ever walking normally or getting beyond 12noon with work before not being any good the rest of the day.

Pacemaker infection forces removal.
6 week post op and have just had
pacemaker
removed yesterday because of infection concerns. Wound hadn't healed and stitches were visible below scab. Tests showed no infection from swab/blood/echo tests but doc wasn't happy with it so as a precaution leads and device have been taken out.

Has a pacemaker resolved other people's headaches?
Have other people found since having a
pacemaker
put in that it has stopped them from getting dreadful headaches. My
pacemaker
has made a huge difference to the migraines I use to get.

Can you wear a fitbit when you have a pacemaker in?
Ironically the
pacemaker
is in to stop my heart from stopping and this was caused by sleep apnoea.

I am due to have a dual lead

One year since ablation and suffering
The procedure was apparently tricky as I went into heart block and the surgeon said that he nearly had to fit a
pacemaker
. I think I must have a large amount of scar tissue or something because it took me a month to recover to the point where I felt able to work again (I'm a teacher).

Pain after stent
Last month we came to the Philippines to do an angeioplasty and he had 5 stents inserted with a temporary
pacemaker
but he was so uncomfortable because the ICU was ridiculous.

6week post PM op.. infection concerns.
Had
pacemaker
fitted 6 week ago, scar still not heeled. Noticed weeping over the weekend, popped into cardiology to let them have a look and have been kept in for infection concerns. They can see stitching under the scab. IV flucloxcillin, chest x-ray, ultrasound, bloods and swabs on the go.
