Perfusion Scan
A Perfusion Scan - based on how my EF comes out will decide if (a) my
Pacemaker
batteries are replaced as planned in the next few months or (b) referred to Newcastle Freeman for a CRT-D device to be fitted.

Bicuspic Aortic Valve Experience
I signed a form before surgery which stated that there would be minimal risks of various complications one of which was to have a
pacemaker
fitted, as it was only 1% I took no notice. During the operation the surgeon damaged my AV node causing a complete heart block..

Post Pace and Ablate
But had the most awful night last night fast heart beat about 90 I couldn’t get much of a pulse …I thought the new
pacemaker
would kick in …but it didn’t …I know that it works if the heart beat gets too slow….

recently diagnose permanent AF
He said the solution to my permanent AF might be to have a
pacemaker
fitted. Has anyone else been prescribed this treatment for AF?

Weekly episodes, trigger ideas?
I have a
pacemaker
and take metoprolol for Tachy-Brady and now flecainide for aFib. I used to take flecainide (75 daily)to control my it…until it didn’t. So, in 2006, I had an ablation, which worked beautifully and eventually allowed me to go off my flecainide completely.

CRT pacemaker
Am I likely to need the medication after the
pacemaker
is fitted? Would appreciate advice from anyone who has a CRT one. Feeling pretty low as unable to do much exercise due to hip pain - would love to go for a long walk!

Pacemaker travel question
I had a
pacemaker
implanted last November, and everything seems to be going fine. It has eliminated low H/R issues/pauses and helped minimize Afib episodes. However, I am set for my first international trip, leaving tomorrow for a week in Amsterdam.

thanks for advice as always
after posting here a few days ago, they checked my uncles echo and
pacemaker
. They don’t think it’s moved, they’ve said could be his new valves bedding in and can take nearly a year for everything to heal properly.

ya Gotta Shop Around
This resulted in me needing a
pacemaker
implant. I turn 70 this summer, and I'm pleased to report not only am I in normal rhythm, but the
pacemaker
has me ticking along in the 50's HR just fine....but quite the journey to get to here!

update to the return of AF/tachycardia and long talk with EP
Pacemaker
leads couldn’t be inserted in usual side due to shoulder injury and crushed veins so abandoned. New EP said he would attempt another ablation. In the event had 2 but no more possible due to extensive scarring.

pacemaker replacement
She is now in cardiology ward but doctors dismissing
pacemaker
checks as feb pacing check looked good. Anyone else have experience of
pacemaker
coming to end of life and causing adverse symptoms?

pacemaker is over a week old
been over a week since
pacemaker
was fitted First few days uncomfortable I didn’t take paracetamol as my logic was if it hurts I’ll be less inclined to lift my arm above my head Day four pain eased off dramatically Still struggled with sleep position and found myself in knowingly with my left arm

pacemaker and air pods
Does anyone have any experience with Apple Air Pods and their
pacemaker
. I’m going to have valve replacement surgery and my daughter thought they would be good for me.

Atrial Fibrillation
Hi, I have suffered with AF since 2018 resulting in 4 cardioversions and 3 ablations (the last was on Friday 17th May and was an AV node ablation linked with connection of a previously implanted
Pacemaker
. I had hoped that I would be feeling great, no breathlessness.
