Yesterday, I asked the cardiologist what had caused me to need a
pacemaker
. I assumed she would say I had a second or third degree block, or SSS. I don't think she had a clue. So far as the consultant was concerned, dropping QRS in a stress test equals need for a
pacemaker
. End of.

Hi I am thinking about doing a 9 hour flight to USA, I have a
pacemaker
fitted in 2022 but haven't seen the cardiology since although I am attached to a base station by my bed at night. Has anyone got any advice on this I would be grateful. I am 76 years old slightly frail.

pacemaker
My husband had a
pacemaker
for 12 years before it needed changing. He had a further 10 years until he was aged 95. an ex- royal navy man he was always full of live until the end. I would recommend a
pacemaker
to anyone it was suitable for. Good luck and good health.

pacemaker download lead noise
I recently had
pacemaker
routine download, I’ve a dual chamber
pacemaker
with St Jude leads that have been in for 12 years. Generator changed last year. At annual download reported that have detected lead noise. When I asked what this is was told it can sometimes indicate issue with the leads.

New pacemaker worries
Had a
pacemaker
fitted a week ago as an emergency. Due to my heart pausing numerous times causing me to collapse. Just wanted to ask if any one else has hag these symptoms. Now the swelling is going down. It feels uncomfortable were the
pacemaker
has been placed. Also I have indigestion and wind.

worried
I have to have one of my leads replaced in my dual
pacemaker
and I am very worried, had
pacemaker
2 years and that has also got to be replaced. I’m 68 with a myriad of health problems including brain seizures, bleeds on brain, copd.

Resting HR and pacemaker settings
I'm tempted to ask whether the
pacemaker
can be set at 55 instead because I feel this is more natural for me, and perhaps slightly healthier if the heart is worked a little less hard. Any thoughts?
