My FND diagnosis & question related to a Organic Brain Syndrome?
Hello everyone! First & foremost I am so excited to have been referred here by my Neurologist, this is first time I am to feel a bit more at peace with what I have and am dealing with. Now onto my diagnosis, I have been seeing my Neurologist a while now & was referred within the organization there

Hello - Hearing loss and tinnitus
Hello, I am a 38 year old male, husband and father that has been suffering severe tinnitus for around 3 years. My tinnitus is due hearing loss cause by otosclerosis. I lost my hearing in my right ear at around 15. I was always able to compensate with my left ear which suddenly went about 3 years ago

Coronavirus: Virus isolation period extended from seven to 10 days
People who test positive for coronavirus or show symptoms in the UK must now self-isolate for at least 10 days, rather than seven. High erythrocyte sedimentation rate, low RBC/haemoglobin, poor renal test results
I just got another blood test result back and my ESR is too high, there's no range given for some reason but it's 20mm/hr. I have Hashimoto's and lichen sclerosus, I'm on 150 mcg levothyroxine. TSH 0.03, FT4 19.4 (74% through range), FT3 5.2 (57% through range). Also taking 2.5 mg low-dose naltrexone

Documented remission without drugs
I've just come across an article on a remarkable, well-documented, case of a younger man with CLL who, over time, achieved complete remission without drugs. Here's the link: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4739749/ * I hasten to add that this is but a single case, and I'm not recommending

I am new to this forum - Tinnitus
I was diagnosed with Labyrinthitis in December 2019, and have been suffering with Tinnitus since then, some days are better than others, some days it interferes with my sleep. I have to say I have been rather shocked at the lack of support available to me through NHS. I have always been fit and healthy

Neutralizing Antibodies Isolated from COVID-19 Patients May Suppress Virus.
Researchers at Columbia University Irving Medical Center have isolated antibodies from several COVID-19 patients that, to date, are among the most potent in neutralizing the SARS-CoV-2 virus. These antibodies could be produced in large quantities by pharmaceutical companies to treat patients, especially

Upping dose ?
I am going through some Health issues and feel a mild flare slight - head pain, ear (jaw) tenderness. I know it’s stress , wondering if 2 mg more a day would help? On 25 now tapering slowing from a previous flare. Thank you, any opinions most welcome.

Tinnitus and microsuction
Hi advice please! I had a bad ear infection several weeks ago, had my ear flushed then had microsuction, my ear seemed to get better but last week I have developed tinnitus in that ear, a high pitched ringing. I think there is some debris still in my ear but I’m wary of getting microsuction again, does

Mild PMR, atypical PMR or not PMR at all?
Hi All I haven’t yet been diagnosed, but my GP is very firmly leaning towards a PMR verdict. We have a telephone consultation next Monday to finalise. I’m not so sure though, I would love to hear your thoughts. I began experiencing difficulty rising from a deep knee bend back in March. I’ve got a spare

W6R3... then injury!
Got within 60 seconds of completing the full 25 minutes, (boring, rather than exhausting) and I pulled a muscle in my calf!! Think I was trying to run faster downhill at the end; a) Jo Whiley told me to sprint if I can b) I’d run up 2 steep hills and wanted to make time up on my PB. Then the muscle

Strange one: ear bleed
Hello everyone, I’ve had just shy of 20 surgeries on my left ear (I’m 36) and it’s been stable for the last 6-7 years. The bones aren’t joined up so hearing is poor and the ear drum has pockets and a hole. Managed to avoid ear infections for about 2+ years now (miracle) due to avoiding yeast & using

Very poor sleep. Suggestions?
PD symptoms first appeared about five years ago. Officially diagnosed last fall. Not taking any allopathic meds or mucuna so far. My sleep is terrible, typically 3-5 hours per night. The problem is not physical stiffness or pain. Just difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep. I am not particularly
