What should I do about my sound reactive tinnitus? Has anyone gotten rid of it?
Is there a way to possibly get rid of my sound reactive tinnitus? Like anybody who had tinnitus that reacted to every sound and made it difficult to watch tv, how did you improve it or fix it? I know you cant cure tinnitus but I hear sound reactive tinnitus is a part of hypercusis. I dont know what caused

Is it normal for tinnitus to have the same sounds that come and go ?
So I get the same sounds that come and go alot. Sometimes it's a howling wind storm with wine glass humming or tuning forks in the distance and sometimes its bells and chimes and cricket noises. The worst sounds I get are piercing high pitch whistles that feel like they are hurting my brain and very

Pulsatile tinnitus driving me mad
Could anyone give me some hope please? I’ve had pulsatile tinnitus for some years but recently it’s become much worse, so loud it wakes me up at night. I’m taking meds for anxiety and I have Vestibular Migraine (maybe meniere’s) but this is almost too much to bear. I’m scared there’s something seriously

Utter confusion about rights to home delivery
I have received a letter from NHS which states I am in the extremely vulnerable category. Yet when I signed into Sainsburys on line delivery I was told I am not in the category. How do they notify the supermarkets? As anyone else come against a similar problem with this supermarket.? I've been advised

AMA positive?
I am in the process of trying to get a diagnosis. My AMA come back with a number of 5, the lab reference says "normal" is 0-20. My pcp and my endocrinologist both interpreted that as negative. But all the other AI diseases I was tested for (10 in total) the result simply said "negative". I have had intermittent

Noise in ear worse after ear drops
Can anyone advise? I noticed a ringing in my left ear 2 weeks ago and was instructed by my gp to add OTC oil drops to the ear in case it was wax. I did and when gp examined my ear, he said there was no blockage, apart from eardrum looking a bit dull. I am now worse off from the noise that oil drops created

Australian research team will begin implementing 1st CT using IV zinc for severely ill covid-19 patients.
I believe this type of fast track short term human, non-random, non-blind, CT is a good first start for those who believe zinc is possibly efficacious for treating covid-19 illness. Some on this HU forum have been promoting it for some time, so we will see if it has as much potential as they believe

engine sound in right ear for 2 weeks
Hi, i have had this engine sound on my right ear for two weeks. It's like someone is trying too park a car and you are on top of a building, and the guy is in the parking trying to park the car, revving it up and down. Observations: -It does not seem to match hearhrate, seems pretty random in the sense

Pulsatile Tinnitus - GP says it’s normal and to look at YouTube?!
Morning, I have been suffering with Pulsatile Tinnitus which started a few months ago. This last week or so it has been been really bad and associated with a pressure head ache. I’m struggling with sleep and started using an app with rain sounds to help distract me. I had a telephone consultation with

Worried about throat
Gross picture and not the best I know but I feel like I need answers and waiting for my phone appointment with the doctor on Wednesday is not helping. I posted on here a few days ago about problems with my throat but I thought maybe I might get some more answers with a picture. From what I can see

On 5mg a day for ten days now, how long before the side effects start to go away? I take mine at about eight every morning but the side effects seem worse in the afternoon for some reason... dizziness when standing, fatigue and not being able to do much exercise etc.

Tinnitus from Optimize spray?
Hiya, I've had a persistent ear infection for months and the Dr prescribed me Promise spray. My ear was annoying and irritated but I didn't really have tinnitus, however as soon as I started using the Otomize I started hearing a really noticeable hissing/white noise. I didn't think too much of it as

Parallels
If I look daily at the sorry saga of dealing with coronavirus in the UK (protective gear, tests [lack of], dilatory responses to viral progress earlier I'm struck by the similarity of responses to the virus and to smaller but important issues like considering thyroid therapy change. The Times reported

OT
Hi all, I had my assessment for the OT a few weeks back. Last week they delivered me a perching stool and trolley. (Must say the new aids make me feel like an 80 year old . Won’t tell you what my brother thought 😂) I’m having difficulties with my knife and fork recently. The OT said they can’t provide
