Hello everyone, I’ve had just shy of 20 surgeries on my left ear (I’m 36) and it’s been stable for the last 6-7 years. The bones aren’t joined up so hearing is poor and the ear drum has pockets and a hole. Managed to avoid ear infections for about 2+ years now (miracle) due to avoiding yeast & using swimming ear plugs to shower. It’s all been quiet (no pun intended) but yesterday I woke to my ear bleeding. I’m going to see my NHS Consultant via private this morning (the ENT HOT clinic could only book me in 3 days later). I checked in with Dr Google & all the common causes of ear bleeding don’t seem applicable. Has anyone else had so much trauma with their ear in their life and can relate? I’ve other health problems and cope fine but when my ear goes wrong I seem to crumble - just so traumatic. Feeling a bit calmer today so hopefully I’ve got myself together now

Infection & when that clears he wants to CT to check for Cholesteatoma, but it’s been a week and the drops and subsequent oral antibiotics are not working. It’s giving me tooth ache on every tooth on my bottom jaw & sinus pain 😰
