Hearing tests on the High Street
I have just had a really awful weekend on an expensive course, not able to hear the instructor and feeling like a bit of an attention seeker. I think that my hearing loss and tinnitus have combined to make a hearing test a bit of an emergency now. What are your experiences of High St hearing tests? I

Been using Otomize ear spray for infection - has it made tinnitus worse?
Hi everyone. I’ve been suffering with bad T for about 8 weeks now. After going to the doctor’s twice, they finally took me seriously and diagnosed an ear infection in my left ear and gave me some Otomize ear spray to treat it. I used it for about 10 days - initially it seemed to work but since I’ve stopped

I’m deaf!
Two weeks ago on Monday I suddenly went deaf. I’m really struggling and stressed. I’ve done some research and found out about a autoimmune disease called AIED and it causes sudden deafness, and if left untreated for more than 3 months the damage can be lasting. So more than 3 months ago I had sudden

Viral infection?
So I went back to my GP today because it’s been 1 week since I started having ringing T in my right ear and on/off Hyperacusis (also in right) She has given me amoxicillin and told me that it’s the tail end of a viral infection and will clear up in a few weeks. I feel very skeptical having read the

Eustachian Tube Disorder and tinnitus
Really hoping someone can give me some kind of hope on here as I’m getting myself very upset and stressed (I know I shouldn’t as that can make it worse but it’s hard!) Some background info: I got very low level T a year ago from tonsil stones/swollen tonsils. Had tonsils out in July with complications

Worry of Adrenal function
I don’t know whether anyone knows anything about the adrenal function but I’m quite worried. I have been reducing Pred over 2 years now and got it down to 5mg last October when I last saw my Rheumatologist. Pain was exceptable at this stage. I told her about my extreme tiredness and general lack of well

I’m really struggling today! I can’t seem to focus my mind on anything. And it’s so loud in my head. Not a hum like tinnitus. But loud pressure. I feel like everything is rushing past me. I can feel my anxiety getting worse as I’m now holding my breath without even realising. I’m so tired these days

New hearing aids
Hi all happy new year Well I have now had my hearing aids for 3 days the first day I thought that they were not working, but when I got home I removed them and found that they were bunged up with wax (I have a big problem with ear wax) so after cleaning not that I found that very easy they are working

Thank you to everyone.
Hi all. I want to thank all those of you who replied to my post a couple of months ago after I was diagnosed with AF. Apart from the usual AF symptoms, I was suffering from frequent & severe 'bursting' sensations in the head which no one (not even the doctors) could identify. I changed the Bisoprolol

Possible recurrent AN?
I've noticed that over the past few months, I've been having the same symptoms I had when first diagnosed a year ago: ice-pick ear pain that has been almost constant since about October; worsening tinnitus; increasing imbalance issues; increasing dizziness and vertigo that is actually getting worse,

Ear infections everywhere! Coincidence?
Maybe it’s just me because I am fed up to the back teeth of reoccurring ear infections since starting RA meds! Especially middle ear ones that are taking 3 courses of antibiotics to get rid of! But just reading though a lot of posts on here it seems loads of people also suffer once on RA meds with ear
