My FND diagnosis & question related to a Organic Brain Syndrome?

Hello everyone!

First & foremost I am so excited to have been referred here by my Neurologist, this is first time I am to feel a bit more at peace with what I have and am dealing with. Now onto my diagnosis, I have been seeing my Neurologist a while now & was referred within the organization there as she a movement specialist. A few weeks back I was able to provide her with massive details about my day to day, videos of my movements & other collective info from doctors. She was confident enough to give me a diagnosis of FND as this was clear to her. I spoke with her as well about my current disability company wanting to end my benefits unless I had a condition not limited in there plan, when I had her review these exceptions she was quick to state that I do have an Organic Brain Syndrome/Disease & said that FND does fall within this. The reason I ask here is because now my long term disability co. is going back & fourth with the doctor sending new documents I am mostly in the dark about whats being discussed, but it is crucial my benefits continue, as I am totally disabled at this point due to FND & other conditions. I am asking if anyone can find any linkage to this or have any insight on Organic Brain Syndrome/Disease since its definition is very broad. Thanks again!!

I hope that they're able to get you squared away so that you're able to pay your bills and get the treatment that you need. I know this can be a really scary time and Lord knows your body doesn't do what you want it to do. It sounds like your doctor is trying to help you out and that is a true blessing.
