I have GCA and the GP prescribed the above but when I collected it the Pharmasist said I could get a headache,feel lightheaded and palpitations. I have had several ocular migraines. Am now wondering whether I should use this ointment. Has any one used this?

Might be a silly question, but did you ask the pharmacist? Presumably you are needing it for the opposite end to the head?

No, before he gave me the item he asked if I had used it before and when I said no he then explained some of the side effects.

Oh i've used this about two years ago. It made me very lightheaded. I didn't think using a cream could do something like that. I used it for few weeks but had to pack it in but it had done most of its job at that stage. I turned over in bed and nearly fell out, like my body wasn't connected to my head!! Very weird, just be careful!

No but the pain has lessened so I hope the fissure will heal without treatment.
