Tinnitus and balance
Hi I've had tinnitus in one ear since a teenager and cope with it fine. I've been checked out with a scan for growths and all clear. Does anyone else feel giddy if they turn their head suddenly? I've always put this down to tinnitus.

Hysterectomy ✅
Hi, For the lovely ladies that asks me to give an update. I had a successful total hysterectomy yesterday and slowly starting to feel like myself again. I had the spinal pain blocker and I don’t think I was prepared for coming round and not being able to feel or move my legs! In a little bit of pain

Menieres Diagnosis
After having a couple of vertigo attacks and continued daily dizziness and nausea I spoke to my ENT consultant on a phone consultation He seems to think I might have menieres and when I asked what test they would do all he said was a hearing test. Surely there are more tests than that . Is this right

To syringe or to microsunction
Hello all. I have a dilemna. Big build up of wax in one ear. Tinnitus louder. Hearing aid uncomfortable. I can either have my ear syringed at the Docs or microsunctioned at Specsavers. Neither ideal. I just don't know which way to go. Any thought s would be very welcome.

Azilect
I’ve been on Azilect for the past 3 years. During this period I also took Rasagiline for 2 months with bad side effects. Now out of the blue the doctor has said he’s never prescribed Azilect and I have to take a generic Rasagiline. Even though I have side effects from it. There reasoning is “It will

Started eating fava beans again, feeling much better!
I recently found a way to get these tasty peeled and steamed beans directly from Melissa’s Produce since local supermarkets no longer carried them. I eat them every day, cold, in a salad or smoothie, and I’m noticing less extreme off times and fatigue. C/L medication remains at 25-100 three times daily

Unable to cope with menieres
I have had such fullness in my right ear, giddyness when talking, tinnitus and just general wooziness. I take cinnarizine 30 x 3 a day. I feel it just isn’t helping me stay in control of any symptoms and my whole life, relationships etc are affected by this as I’m constantly panicking over how I feel

Acute triiodothyronine treatment and red blood cell sedimentation rate (ESR) in critically ill COVID-19 patients: A novel association?
This seems to have a fundamental importance irrespective of its possible relevance to Covid-19. That triiodothyronine (liothyronine/T3) treatment might have therapeutic indications other than in hypothyroidism. But it also makes me wonder whether those who have relevant disorders might do worse, much

What are GCA headaches like?
Trying to get a diagnosis of something. Perhaps GCA? or TMJ? When you have headaches with GCA do they last for a bit or just fleeting? I'm getting stabs of head pain randomly and daily that come and go for a couple of seconds. Sometimes the pain is on the top back of my head, and now at the base

How is everyone today? I’ve just had vertigo :-(
Hi, I’m my own worst enemy at the moment as I decided to reduce my betahistine to 8mg thinking I know best...consequently I woke up with ringing ears in the middle of the night and then blocked right ear and vertigo followed this morning. Does anyone else tinker with their medication too much or is it

Has anyone had the op for deadening the eardrum (Was on offer years ago)
Hi all Perhaps this should end up in the General tinnitus box. Many moons ago I was offered an operation to null my eardrum, I was told (from memory) that it completely takes away the noise. I think you will never hear again from that ear, but no more T. I'm not sure if it is still done, but my concern

White nails still worried.
I recently got white nails and posted about this before. My liver blood values are good and my doctor tells me not to worry. But they are still very white. I'm more and more concerned now. I also suffer from a depression. However, my doctor sees no reason to send me for further examination. I drank

Newbie from USA
Hi from Plymouth, MA,USA! I've been following this site for awhile and joined today. I came down with tinnitus 5 years ago after a sudden viral ear infection, with a minor hearing loss in my left ear. I don't have to tell anyone what it's like to suffer with this. Mine is a high pitched, searing laser-like
