Beconase , changing tinnitus

I have tinnitus from tmjd. Its high pitched in both ears and a clicking that comes from my upper palate. I've seen Ent ect no hearing loss no issues with pressure or fluid ,, just tinnitus that changes with jaw and neck movements. I've had it just over a year now and all the treatments I've had for the tmjd have not helped the tinnitus. I have a dental splint, physiotherapy, chiropractor, acupuncture. I recently noticed I was getting hay fever , itchy eyes and nose. I started using a nasal spray called beconase, it helps the hayfever but its doing weird things to my tinnitus. It's really quiet then loud and changing pitch. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Anyone else have any advice?

Hello, I have severe tinnitus and sometimes use beconase. But it has no affect on my tinnitus whatsoever. Tinnitus does tend to change all the time. You could take an anti-histamine pill if you are worried about the nasal spray. Beconase is basically a steroid spray.

I have tinnitus, my friend who's a doctor recommended Steroid Beconase. After using it for 4 days. It completely cured my tinnitus, I woke up one morning and it was completely gone. I was so happy, I took my kids out shopping to celebrate. However after 3 days, it came back in the form of how you're describing your condition.

I discussed it with my Dr friend. He said my tinnitus is more likely due to my eustachian tube in my nose being blocked and the steroid based Beconase has had an effect. Also possibly due to my jaw movement connected with muscles in my ear. As I do sometimes get tinnitus during and after chewing.

I hope this helps.
