Tinnitus re Withdrawal of Prednisolone
I have developed tinnitus since withdrawing from prednisolone. Could it be the steroids causing this?

Help required please with my recent blood results.
Hello, I haven't posted a question here about my bloods yet but I can see that there's so many of you here who have an idea while I'm all new to thyroid issues. I've got my 2 Endo appointment today which will be my firsts one Face 2 face with him but if like to have an idea on what my bloods mean. I've

Blood test results. Help please.
After two days of chasing round in ever decreasing circles I've finally managed to obtain a copy of my last blood test results. As you all suspected, the only thyroid test was TSH. These bloods were taken at 1:40pm after breakfast, coffee, and lunch. No one mentioned needing to have them taken first

Wax Removal and Tinnitus
Hi I had wax removal in January and it exacerbated my tinnitus. I had no consent form or information on risks or contraindications given to me. Is this standard practice? I wouldn't have had it done had I known making existing tinnitus worse is a known risk. The wax I had was soft and caused me no problems

Polymorphic light eruption?
Hi all, hope you are all keeping ok, can I ask your advice please? Got blisters/hot/itchy skin on arms and feet only. I had sun cream on arms but not on feet and both areas affected the same. Where my flip flops had been there is no rash/blisters. Never had this before, only just finished an 8 week

I'm new here and developed tinnitus from ear infection, I think Optomize ear spray made it worse!
Hi guys, I've had pulsatile tinnitus on my right ear for 7 years but that doesn’t bother me. It started in mid March when I had starting having muffled hearing on my left ear and it went after 3 days leaving a low buzzing sound for a week. I was worried at this point couldn’t sleep without fan on and

Not hearing properly
I have high pitched tinnitus in my left ear and moderate hearing loss in both ears When I wear my hearing aid I get another sound like wind blowing in my left ear . When I am not wearing my hearing aids I don't get this extra sound Also my hearing test says I have similar hearing loss in both ears

I am not sure whether it was the consequence of my application of reverse psychology or my-on the whole-affable GP suddenly having an epiphany, but the last couple of telephone consultations that I’ve had, have been quite constructive. I did however have to collect all the toys that were left littered

Been left hanging for pointless ultrasound while my symptoms take over?
Hi all! Does anyone have a rough estimate to how long getting referred to an ultrasound usually is? I spoke to my doctor 9.5 weeks ago about finally asking to pursue an endo diagnosis, after all the previous tests I've had for lots of issues have come back clean. (I've been dealing with assorted health

Zombie Days!
I have had a shunt and an ETV for about 5 years and have recently turned 60. I find that I never feel great, but have better and worse days, the real bad ones I call Zombie days. I have these a couple of times a week and if something is due to happen on one of those days I often have to cancel it and

Tinnitus and balance
Hi I've had tinnitus in one ear since a teenager and cope with it fine. I've been checked out with a scan for growths and all clear. Does anyone else feel giddy if they turn their head suddenly? I've always put this down to tinnitus.

Hysterectomy ✅
Hi, For the lovely ladies that asks me to give an update. I had a successful total hysterectomy yesterday and slowly starting to feel like myself again. I had the spinal pain blocker and I don’t think I was prepared for coming round and not being able to feel or move my legs! In a little bit of pain

Menieres Diagnosis
After having a couple of vertigo attacks and continued daily dizziness and nausea I spoke to my ENT consultant on a phone consultation He seems to think I might have menieres and when I asked what test they would do all he said was a hearing test. Surely there are more tests than that . Is this right

To syringe or to microsunction
Hello all. I have a dilemna. Big build up of wax in one ear. Tinnitus louder. Hearing aid uncomfortable. I can either have my ear syringed at the Docs or microsunctioned at Specsavers. Neither ideal. I just don't know which way to go. Any thought s would be very welcome.

Azilect
I’ve been on Azilect for the past 3 years. During this period I also took Rasagiline for 2 months with bad side effects. Now out of the blue the doctor has said he’s never prescribed Azilect and I have to take a generic Rasagiline. Even though I have side effects from it. There reasoning is “It will

Started eating fava beans again, feeling much better!
I recently found a way to get these tasty peeled and steamed beans directly from Melissa’s Produce since local supermarkets no longer carried them. I eat them every day, cold, in a salad or smoothie, and I’m noticing less extreme off times and fatigue. C/L medication remains at 25-100 three times daily
