Seasick On A Boat

I was wondering if anyone has gone out on a big boat after having AN surgery.

The reason being; my son and daughter-in-law gave me a ticket to go on a whale watch with them. I was always prone to being seasick when on a boat, and since I am one year post-surgery and still have bad headaches and balance problems I was a little concerned. I know that Dramamine doesn't work when you've lost the vestibular system and as far as I know there is nothing else to try. I know the trip takes several hours and didn't want to suffer all that time and also didn't want to ruin their trip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had surgery 5+ years ago, been on plenty of boats, planes and I'm quite active. Just need to sit on some rides yet but my ENT has advised not to

Hi only just seen this post sorry, I suffered terrible seasickness before I had my AN treated ( gamma knife) it’s so much better now I take cinnarizine (stugeron) which they prescribed me when I was first diagnosed and I think they give you for Menieres disease I find that works fine 1x 3 per day hope this helps or if you have been on your trip that you got on ok and had a whale of a time lol

I had surgery in may and I was on the Isle of Wight ferry one month after surgery and I found it fine (obviously a much bigger boat) but still the same motion.

I hope you see whales.

I believe you feel no movement on a large ship but I watched a film and the camera man was in a small boat being thrown around and ai went dizzy and felt sick
