Hi, here to share my recovery - and how you can help yourself.
Hi, my name is Leigh, and I was in pain since a small child. Depressed since the age of 21. Rock bottom was at 40 years old, stuck on the floor one morning, screaming with pain unable to move. That was the changing point in my life. I knew I couldn't go on as I was. Pilates and swimming

Help for vertigo
I am 69 years old and have a 6-7 mm AN on the right side that was diagnosed about a year and a half ago. I have lost all the hearing on my right side which happened one weekend about 2 months ago. I have always been very active right up until about a month and a half ago when my balance started to go

Throat and ear pain
For about 2-3 months now I’ve had a sore throat and it’s causing ear ache as wel, had antibiotics and didn’t help, had an ultrasound on my neck, was perfectly normal, had blood tests all fine, anyone any idea of a remedy to get rid of this?

Pelvic Kidney
Hi I’m new to this page. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2015 along with a pelvic kidney. I have stage 4 which is covering my kidney due to it being in the wrong place. They can’t do anything because of this. The pain is really starting to get me down. Any ideas on what could help please?

OK - I know this is not a 'weightloss' forum, but lots of you have been keenly logging their food while improving their running... Today, with NO CLOTHES, and putting my phone down and picking it up only when the scales have settled (don't laugh too much here)... I GOT BELOW 12 STONE!!! I want to get

Set back
I've now had Tinnitus for almost 4 months and was gradually learning to cope and thankfully get some sleep. Unfortunately I've had a major set back over the past week where my T has spiked. I went to a Muse gig last Saturday and wore ear protection. Had no effects afterwards and slept ok that night

Hearing aids probably a mistake😞
So I was given hearing aids today. The audiologist who fitted them said that she wanted to do a quick hearing check and said she couldn’t see any real hearing loss. She said that it seemed to be within the normal range for my age (33) but said that it could be pitch that I’m missing so gave me one anyway

Question about VNG test
I had an acoustic neuroma removed in March of 2018. Since then, I've still had issues with vertigo, ear pain and balance. The tinnitus and hearing loss, I've learned to live with. A VNG test was ordered. I went to have it done and almost at the end, I had several seizures that day and the next morning

Itching
Hi I have been on Hydroxychloroquine for 1 1/2 years and about 6mths ago started to get an itch on my neck which settled with some emulsifying ointment but this no longer works. There is nothing to see and I know that an itch can be a side effect of this medication. Just wondering if anybody else has

Hello, I'm new to this forum
I've joined this forum because I am interested to find out what other people have to say about tinnitus. I have pulsatile tinnitus. I had tinnitus for years with buzzes and humming, I have also had glue ear for years & have had grommets. The most recent grommet was fitted almost 2 years ago, and over

Swelling in the feet and ankles
I was diagnosed with A-fib 2 years ago. Only gone into A-fib twice, that I know of. Lately, I've noticed swelling in my feet and ankles. Is this common? I'm on Flecainide 100mg twice a day and cardizem CD 180mg once a day. I have a doctor's appointment and will certainly bring this up. Just wanted to

Finally some relief from one sided tinnitus
I've had tinnitus for approximately one year in my left ear. It started out with a soft crackling noise (like the old static sound from television in between channels!) Over the past 6 months, the noise increased in frequency and volume to the point that it kept me from falling asleep. I went to the

How the smallest Snacks can undermine our RUN calories!
Hi All Just over a week ago I was asking about weight loss while running. Among many supportive and informative answers Damienair and Pianism gave me alot of inspiration and food for thought (pun intended). 1) Firstly (I already knew) I had to go back to myfitnesspal and start logging. - this was clearly
