I had an acoustic neuroma removed in March of 2018. Since then, I've still had issues with vertigo, ear pain and balance. The tinnitus and hearing loss, I've learned to live with. A VNG test was ordered. I went to have it done and almost at the end, I had several seizures that day and the next morning. I never lost consciousness, I was able to hear what was going on around me, but couldn't respond. I don't have any issues with crystals in my ears or anything. My question is has anyone heard of that happening? Is this normal? Could the VNG test have triggered the seizures?

Question about VNG test
Hi
Just wondering, what is a VNG test?
I had my translab op April 2018. I am now being assessed for ABI - acquired brain injury. Yes still sore around scar and feel like my ear is full. But worse is the imbalance, fatigue, short term memory loss and cognitive issues (planning, overwhelmed).
Take care, be kind to yourself 💙
Hi esbjorn,
Thank you for responding. I'm sorry to hear that you're still dealing with issues since surgery. I still deal with ear pain and fullness, as well as imbalance, fatigue, short term memory loss and cognitive issues. The cognition issues, especially, are making it really hard to work. The VNG test was scheduled to try and figure out if my dizziness and imbalance is being caused by something with my inner ear. It tests your inner ear and some portions of your brain. I saw my ENT on Friday, I now am scheduled to see a neurologist to see what's going on.
