Throat and ear pain

For about 2-3 months now I’ve had a sore throat and it’s causing ear ache as wel, had antibiotics and didn’t help, had an ultrasound on my neck, was perfectly normal, had blood tests all fine, anyone any idea of a remedy to get rid of this?

Have they looked into the possibility of acid reflux? That can cause a sore throat.

Would that result in ear pain as well tho?

It can do. Your throat and ears are connected. If your throat becomes inflamed by acid, which can be in your breath not just the actual acid from your stomach, it can result in other pain too. And sometimes there can be referred pain so the irritation might be in your throat but you feel it else where.

Thanks for your reply it means a lot. What treatment do you recommend? I’ve inflammation present in my bowels, had a colonoscopy done to try and trace any signs of IBD but not had results. Could that play a part possibly?

It would be best to see your GP as the medicine is prescription only.
