Book "Let Food be your medicine" by Don Colbert, MD
He covers a number of common illnesses. I only summarise what I consider the main points from the section on cancer with the hope of stimulating discussion. He does not claim to cure cancer and says "but it does help, and we have helped hundreds of patients treat (manage or control) their cancer".

Nutrition and supplements
Does anyone follow with an integrative oncologist? I am recently diagnosed, not requiring treatment at this time and would like to optimize my health and seek out natural approaches to treatment as long as I can. I have been researching nutrition and supplements to help in this battle. Does anyone

Functional medicine practitioner in the UK or similar
Loathe am I to criticise the NHS in UK as it’s such an amazing privilege to have free health care but following the messages from forum users elsewhere in the world I realise that sometimes we get what we’re given and don’t necessarily get the best healthcare. I m scared I’m blindly heading towards

Reversed my Hashimoto's with dietary and lifestyle changes
I was diagnosed about three years ago with Hashimoto's. All my thyroid hormone levels were normal but my anti-TPO antibodies were out of range. I had all the usual symptoms: fatigue, weight gain and then the inability to lose weight, hair loss, dry skin, you name it. I also developed severe cold urticaria

Nutrients to help repair your blood-brain barrier
Nicely put together page of useful information on things that (may?) help the blood brain barrier: Resveratrol Curcumin Sulforaphane: If you take sulforaphane in supplement form, make sure it contains the co-factor myrosinase. Vitamin D B vitamins. Several B vitamins support the health of the blood-brain

What Supplements Do You Stop Taking? ICSI IVF
Hi, I'm currently on my second cycle of IVF ICSI. I've been on the medication for 3 days, and have egg collection on 28th July. I am taking Coenzyme Q10, Vitamin D3, And Omega 3. •What supplements if any do I stop taking? •And at what point should I stop taking them? •And when do I restart them again

I feel a bit left to my own devices but I'm not worried
Started pred 15mg on 23rd April, stayed on this for 6 weeks (a bit longer than I was advised by GP but I had a fall) then went to 12.5mg for about 6 weeks, now on 11mg since 3 dys ago ( my own dosage because I was scared to drop from 12.5 to 10). Feel ok at the moment. I had a phone appt with rheumy

Joint Pain from Prostap
I've got stage 4 endometriosis and a large ovarian cyst that I had diagnosed in June 2019 and waiting to hopefully have surgery this month. To help manage the pain, I have to inject prostap every 10wks since Dec 2019 and since the last injection, I have had very sore knee joints which feels unusual

Kill Breast Cancer cells and their secondary peeps ! Omega 3 is important. Omega 3 consists of DHA/EPA. Read On.
I'm on Ibrance/Faslodex. For 6 months. Besides my Onc, I do have an integrative holistic onc. I'm ER/PR positive/Her2 Negative. All of us should be taking Omega 3, however, part of that mix is a combination of DHA/ EPA. In my particular case, DHA is huge. She suggested I amp up DHA/ I ordered this

A low omega-3 index is just as strong a predictor of early death as smoking
A new research paper published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition last week showed that a low omega-3 Index is just as powerful in predicting early death as smoking. New insight into how anti-inflammatory effects of omega-3 fatty acids could help reduce depression
Research led by King’s College London has, for the first time, shown that when omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are given to patients with depression they are metabolised into molecules called lipid mediators and the levels of these in the blood are linked to an improvement in symptoms. The

I just made Chia Jam for the first time!😋Thank you Cooper27 for your wonderful recommendation! 😊🙏❤️🌺
Hello everyone, hope you have a wonderful day ahead! 🤗 I’m so excited to make Chia jam this late afternoon as I looked it up on YouTube how to make it. It is so quick, easy, no mess, healthy and tasty. 😋👍 I love how no sugar added and no canning process needed. It can last in the fridge about one
