Swollen ankle relief...
Hi everyone, A few months ago I asked this forum for help to get rid of the daily swelling of my ankles, which has been a long term problem which started way before diagnosis. Anyway one member suggested horse chestnut tablets and I thought I'd give it a try. I'm overjoyed to say that I no longer

Chemobrain When 4+4 = 7
Very little research has been done on chemo and the nervous system. Neuropathy or damage to the nerves in the hands and feet is a common side effect of chemo. Now it turns out nerves in the brain may also be damaged. Who knows if this is true but below is a recent pic of Jewish scholar Dr. Nalakrats

Medicine advice
Hi All I'm after a bit of advice. I've been managing my pain symptoms with amitriptyline and meptid, but when I have a flare up these don't seem to help at all. I'm right in the middle of a flare right now (it hurts everywhere 😢), and have made an appointment to see the GP next week. Just wondering

Gabapentin and gums as well as teeth
Regarding the teeth issue and gums using gabapentin I had sore gum on my left side of the top right next to a tooth that is now killing me since I weaned off gabapentin which I was using for seizures. I was on 2400 mg and that was taking away many pains that are coming back now. I thought the sore gums

Do people find numbness improves with rest? (or worsens with use of hands?)
Hi, I'm wondering whether people who suffer from paresthesia as part of their symptoms find it improves with rest, or gets worse if they do not rest? Numbness and tingling in my fingers are one of the main symptoms for me and as I'm an electrician they can be a real pain (pun intended) when trying to

What do you do for Body neuropathy
I have been a vegetarian for many years, and then became vegan 4 years ago. I started noticing symptoms of neuropathy in November, and because I am bipolar it was suggested that it was all "in my head'. My question is how much and how long do you need to be on B12 (methylcobalamin) sublinguals, and now

I am posting on behalf of a friend with Cerbral Palsy who is suffering terribly with Chronic Pain. No medicine that she has received from the NHS has helped at all. She has diabetes and probably diabetic neuropathy. But the chiropodist has appears to have damaged a nerve in her toe quite a few months

Folate supplementation
Hello all, Have been reading about the importance of folate with B12. I take a standard multivit/mineral supplement which contains folic acid, should I consider a methyl-folate supplement instead? If so, should I stop taking the multivit? Thanks!

Anyone on here need methylated vitamin b?
I'm starting MTX and I forgot to tell my Dr I can't process normal B vitamins. He gave me folic acid to take along with it. I'm just wondering if I need the methylated version? Does this make since or am I crazy? Pleas advise if you are the same.
