May I ask where you all feel your pain from the spondy. Mine is to the right not on the spine, also into buttocks, groin down thigh and even foot. Is this usual or am I just odd. Spondy and facet joint arthritis confirmed by mri. Also how does the pain feel this Iis a sickening ache far worse sitting. Surely the pain should be on joint. Mi e is about 1 inch away on a sort of dent.
Regards
Maria

I know what you mean by a sickening ache, I've been trying to describe it for years and you've nailed it! I had grade 2 spondy at L5-S1 which gave me hell for years until finally had spinal fusion 2 1/2 years ago. Unfortunately now have regular flare ups with pain and 'sickening ache' in lower spine, buttocks and round my bum. Pain also moves around my legs randomly. Told by surgeon who did it that he doesn't know why I'm in pain and there's nothing more he can do.
I have fractured vertebrae at L5 S1. I have tender aches and pains in lower back and buttocks but my main pain is in my legs. Burning pain in both thighs which feels tight and sometimes effects feet as well. This lower pain is referred pain from your back which sets off the nerves and ligaments going to buttocks, hips and thighs etc.
