Fed up and so exhausted 😩
I am beyond done with my pain condition. I am not sleeping well so constantly exhausted. Add to that my pain meds hardly even work anymore. I know that I have " better" days but they are becoming fewer. Its hard to feel anything other than despair at the moment 😪. If I ring the pain management team

Hello - I'm new to all this.
Just been diagnosed with Polymyalgia 2 weeks ago and am on Prednisone 15mg steroid dose alongside 2 x 500mg Naproxen, 1 dose 20mg Omeprazole, 4 daily doses of 2 x 500mg paracetamol plus 2 Adcal-D Calcium/vit D tablets. The pain is manageable now - I can get some sleep and the pain/stiffness in my shoulders

swelling lower limbs
Hello, I had a coronary stent fitted in October 2023. My 3rd in16 years. I have recovered well after each episode and returned to an active life. I have started a couch to 5K and managed a 5K in 30 minutes after a month of exercise. So I am really pleased. However recently I have noticed my calves, ankles

PMR or Arthritis?
I have been reading your forum since I was diagnosed with PMR just over 2 years ago. I have found it incredibly informative, helpful and comforting, but this is my 1st post. I was diagnosed with PMR after a couple of months of extreme pain and stiffness in the neck, shoulders hips and knee, to the extent

Thyroid - updated bloods - advice
Good morning, Just had the attached bloods back from Medichecks and wonder if anyone had any advice before I return to GP to discuss. I took the test at 7:30am after fasting overnight and within one hour of waking. I’ve put columns for previous tests in April and September for comparison. TSH

Broncholidator Reversibility Test
Hi, I posted a few days ago about my team wanting to do a broncholidator reversibility test and FeNO before they put me forward for biologics. I wasn't going to do the test, then decided to do it, incase it did show reversibility to save time waiting for a referral to Wynthenshawe as my current hospital

Foot Cramps
Can anyone suggest anything I can take for foot cramps. I am currently taking 600mg pregablin, ramipril, hrt, zapain and naproxen aswell as iron, calcium and magnesium. The cramps are becoming more and more frequent and my Gp said to eat bananas and rub magnesium into my feet. Last night was unbearable

Duloxetine - cold turkey and afterwards?
One of my tasks in the New Year (after discussing with GP) was to decrease Duloxetine and possibly try something else as the hyperhidrosis side effects were becoming so problematical for me and, after working well for nigh-on 3 years they also now had reduced effectiveness at controlling my pain despite

Having pain for 3/4 weeks
Hello, I was wondering if anyone else struggle with pain when they are not on their period. I struggle with cramps, lower back pain and hip pain the week before my period, the week of my period and the week after so I seem to only get 1 week out of 4 where I'm not in pain. I had an internal ultrasound

Prednisolone!
I take Pred, Methotrexate 25mg a week, Hydroxychloroquine @400mg a day, and 2700mg of Gabapentin a day. My weight has skyrocketed. I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life, and it's all down to how much junk food, chocolate and crisps I am eating. As I am also suffering from Trigeminal nerve pain

back pain
hi I’ve had back pain most of my adult life but I’ve always known I’ve bent wrong or lifted something heavy and within a week I’ve been ok. In the summer I started getting back pain again but this time it felt different and pain meds just weren’t helping so I got some naproxen from my gp which did

Hashimotos and frozen shoulder, is there a link?
I had FS in my left shoulder in 2018… the pain was like nothing I’d ever experienced! It’s the kind of pain you could pass out with. In time it healed with determination and no choice but to keep moving my arm, I had a baby at the time. The start of this year I got FS in my right shoulder. This time

When is the best time to take T3
Hi I collected my first prescription for T3 Liothyronine 20 mg today. All the instructions on the box tell me is to take one tablet a day. I read the instructions inside and they just say to take exactly as instructed by doctor or pharmacist. So does it matter when the tablet is taken or if it is

an immobile mess
Firstly let me apologise the the lengthy post my mood is rock bottom right now and I need a safe space to air everything! I should also note I'm in the UK so a lot of the medical services are very different than what I would get quite easily in the US . I have suffered with bouts of lower back and hip
