I have been taking 20 mg of Omeprazole a day since start of Prednisolone originally 40mg 4months ago after GCA diagnosis. I am now reducing and at 9 mg of Prednisolone. Plagued by nocturnal ectopics.
For the last eight or nine days I’ve had more ectopics than usual, often at night when lying on my back or right side, but also during the day. Sometimes the pulse feels very weak, almost imperceptible. Sometimes the ectopics are very persistent, occurring every four or five beats. It’s possible

Omeprazole to help asthma and post nasal drip.
Has anyone else been prescribed Omeprazole in case their asthma and throat congestion is caused by acid reflux? I have been taking it for 2 weeks with no difference in symptoms. I was wondering how long it was before anyone saw an improvement as I don't know whether to order more or give them up.

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to have some advice. I had my gallbladder out over 10 years ago and my stomach has not been the same. I had terrible acid reflux so was prescribed by the hospital omeprazole 40mg a day fo gastritis. Then I was ill again, waking up choking with white/yellow stuff so my GP

Increased bloating, gas and burning sensation in throat (?heartburn). On NDT
I am currently using NDT, and I have been taking Thyroid S for several years with varying batch success. I have just started a new batch 23T01008. I have also been trialling Roseway Labs Compounded NDT on and off due to the fewer ingredients to see if it suited me better as I have not been feeling optimum

Changes in medication a year after TAVI?
Next month sees the first anniversary of my TAVI, since when I've been on Ramipril, Clopidogrel and Omeprazole (and Simvastatin). Has anyone had a reduction in their meds after a year, and, if so, why? The review would be with my surgeon, who was insistent that I didn't need Omeprazole (but didn't

EC 1mg pred??
I have recently managed to taper to 4mg which means taking all plain tablets. I have had an increase in indigestion/slight heartburn since doing this. I have 3 questions. Is it possible to get 1mg ec? - I'd be willing to pay (if not ridiculous price) If I take some gaviscon (already take 20mg omeprazole

Lpr with underactive thyroid
Hello, I'm new to the site but before joining I saw a link to an article about those with underactive thyroid actually having low stomach acid. Is there anyone else who has seen this. I can't find it now! I have had underactive thyroid for over 20 years and I suspect my LPR actually started about 10

Advice on taking naproxen and lansiprazole with UAT meds (levo & lio)
Hi, I’ve just been prescribed Naproxen (500mg) to help with shoulder pain whilst I wait for a referral to musculoskeletal dept. Alongside this the GP has given me Lansiprazole (15 mg) to counteract the gastro effects of the Naproxen. The shoulder pain is stopping me sleeping and impacting on day to

Severe Upper Inner Thigh Pain
I got out of bed on Thursday morning and once I started walking, my left inner upper thigh - not quite in the groin - began to ache. It continued off and on (mildly) into the day and I hobbled around at work. The pain was fairly manageable at that point, and I was able to walk the dog. On Friday it

Hi, this is my first post after being diagnosed with PMR November 2023. The information from everyone on this forum has been invaluable, thank you. I started on 15mg Pred and now with the support of my very good GP, I’m slowly tapering and now on 12.5 and reducing .5mg every 4/6 weeks. At the beginning
