splenic flexture?
Hey everyone! Just wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem I’ve had for as long as I can remember - I can’t seem to lay on my left side. Whenever I do my guts will gurgle incessantly and I tend to get the worst trapped wind just under my left rib (this hasn’t been as bad since I started

Muscle spasm and cramps
I am experiencing leg and feet muscle spasms and cramps. It happens during the night and they have me waking up and jumping off bed to stand up and stretch. The pain is unbearable on the bottom of my right foot, these are not 'regular' muscle cramps. I cannot point out which of my medications are causing

Omeprazole and Clopidogrel
Had a stent a month ago today and cardiologist wanted me to go back on omeprazole but I insisted on Pantoprazole. I need the omeprazole long term due to severe GERD. He told me that the interaction advice was an old Canadian study and that there have been ample studies to confirm that Ompeprazole did

First nurse appointment
Today was my first rheumy nurse appointment. I had requested it due to elevated CRP and it was timely because on Friday my GP refused to prescribe MTX without another blood test even though one wasn’t due. Anyway, the nurse was absolutely lovely. She spent a full hour going through stuff and getting

eosinophilic esophagitis
I had an endoscopy done and results showed I have eosinophilic esophagitis. I was told my anti acid/gerd medication I was on Protonix was not helping me so was prescribed Omeprazole. Has anyone had this and what did you do to get better? Also, did you find what foods caused it to happen?

Stopping medication
Hi everyone, I am really desperate with what to do next as nothing works for me. I was finally getting NDT and had so much expectation from it. I was fine for few days and then my stomach started to hurt that bad that I couldn't bed down. I email my specialist and ask what to do . He said to stop and

Any tips/guidance on taking pred when you can't hold anything down?
Managed to catch a nasty strain of D&V from my grandson and not managed to even keep a cup of tea down for more than an hour. This is day 3 and I've just taken Omeprazole for the first time since diagnosis in Oct 2020 but it's my only option. Tiny sips of water as often as I think I can take. I try

Is this a hypo symptom?
Hello I have had a symptom for 3 years now and wondering whether it is a hypo symptom. It is a random pain in the centre of my body (bra strap level) and I feel pain at the front and a terrible achiness in my back (kidney area), which stops me working. In fact I can’t do much. It usually starts mid

unstable angina
Hi I have been in and out of hospital since December with unstable angina. I am currently waiting for my 3rd angiogram so they can try drilling the blockage and fit a stent. 100 percent blocked right coronary artery double vessel disease. I am on so many tablets that I feel, like a zombie. Lisinopril

Just had meds change - any problems ?
Some of you will remember my last post this week where I was desperate to reduce my fierce coughing. Doc has changed me from Bevespi to Trimbow, put me on azithromycin for a week, Changed my statin from prevastatin to rosuvastatin and my ppi from omeprazole to Famotidine. Anyway at least he did something

omeprazole and joint pain
I’ve been prescribed this while tests for liver/pancreatic disease are ongoing. I read the PIL with dismay when I saw joint pain listed as a side effect. I was screaming in my head “ doesn’t my GP understand that my joints hurt all the time already” 😝 Any way 3 weeks in at 40mg and yes my joints

Atropic gastritis? Symptoms of B12 deficiency?
Hi all. I've been having some concerning symptoms for about 3 months. It all started with random abdominal pains and low back pain. It is now radiating down my groin and into the backs and sides of the thighs. I saw my GP last month as the stomach pains are now very bad, horrible burning pain,

Rheumatologist appointment today…
I have been having a lot of problems with blood clots in my lungs the past two years. I am also having increased pain in my joints (including lower back). I have had to stop Naproxen because of the blood thinners I am on. I have had several prednisolone injections in my lower back, but the pain is still

G.p appointment
I have a g.p telephone appointment on Friday and I'm dreading it! He won't give me a face to face appointment as it's not classed as urgent, but it's very important to me. He just increased my propanol last time, which didn't help and have given me naproxen which make me feel sick. Can I insist on seeing
