Different Brands of Omeprazole
Has anyone experienced a different response to different brands of omeprazole? I usually get Almus omeprazole dispensed from Boots but a few months ago I received Teva. For the first time in years I had absolutely no stomach issue and felt so well. I asked to have only Teva in future but my latest

Miserable…when will this flare up end😔..
Hey everyone, I hope those who read this aren’t in as much pain as I am at the moment, this flare up has lasted days now. I’m on regular paracetamol, tramadol and naproxen. My hot water bottle has actually started to blister my already mottled skin on my stomach. I’ve tried hot baths too. Does anyone

Persistent bowel infection
Dear all, A while since I have written. I was struggling for a year or two with colon pain and seemingly uncontrollable IBS-D. I had a colonic MRI scan done which found I had diverticulosis (side-pockets on the colon). I did not have all the symptoms of diverticulitis (inflammation of the pockets

Triple therapy and Prednisolone
As some of you may recall, I am doing (hopefully) the final taper, slowly reducing from 0.5 mg Prednisolone. I have just done 1:4 step and was feeling fine except that a few weeks ago, I have been diagnosed with symptomatic H Pylori infection and need to take triple therapy ( 2 antibiotics for 7 days

So sorry for the lengthy post! I have a range of issues which have been ongoing for many years like ibs, distended tummy (I looked 6 months pregnant on most of my teenage photos). I have small mouth ulcers a lot. I developed genital ulcers which I was told it is probably herpes though not definite as

I can see that this subject has been raised before but I’m feeling sorry for myself today and need the support of my forum friends and advisors. Just for a quick bit of background, I am six years into this PMR and struggling to taper below 7mg, maintaining 6.5mg but experiencing a lot of pain in my

Ablation, fistula fears
Hi All, I have an ablation scheduled in June (PAF 5 years) and my greatest concern is the development of a fistula, which is extremely rare but over 80% deadly. I have read that some places give you Omeprazole just in case- any esophageal lesions would be exacerbated by reflux- sometimes these lesions

frustrated with restriction of naproxen
After an unsuccessful spinal fusion surgery in 2001(and 2 more since) I’ve been taking naproxen for about 15 years and get that together with a long list of other pain meds every 3 months,I’ve now been told I can only have 2 month supply of naproxen at a time which is messing up my repeat meds routine

GP now limiting my naproxen
I’ve been on naproxen for about 15 years and get that together with a long list of other meds every 3 months, however my clinic has advised I can only have a 2 month supply of naproxen at a time which is completely messing up my meds ordering routine especially as they keep getting script wrong. Appointment advice/cimzia/pain
Does anyone have any advice for me? On cimzia for 11 weeks now, I have an appointment next week, so will have been on it 12 weeks. I have noticed an improvement, but it's been very gradual. I've been able to reduce steroids from 7.5mg to 5mg and I take about half of the naproxen and codiene I was taking

What pain relief do you use?
Following on from my thread, I just wondered what pain relief you use? Naproxen, paracetamol, Mefenamic acid have done nothing for me. I'm currently on co-codamol 30/500 which is working but is saying my constipation to be worse than it is already. Does anyone use Amitriptyline? Thinking it might help

esomeprazole and blurred vision
I wonder if anyone has noticed decline in their distance vision from taking ppis? I have been going to eye hospital regularly over last year ( retinal tears, active pvd, changes to retina so at high risk of getting macular holes). But through all this my short sightedness has not changed until recently

omeprazole IBS/endo
hi, I often suffer from acid reflux due to my IBS symptoms with my endo in the bowel. I was given 20mg Omeprazole for 7 days (I’ve used it before so quite familiar with it). I have been finding in the last few days, that I have a really dry mouth. I know this is super specific, but just wondering if

Should PPIs be stopped when stomach bugs get a grip?
Since increasing omeprazole by 10mg ( 30mg ttl ) have had mild diarrhoea the odd day or two, but now had explosive squits for 7 days. Stopped omeprazole about 5 days ago, not even getting acid reflux now, but also no appetite and whatever I eat turns to water and is expelled about 4 hours later. It's

What’s the problem with Omeprazole??
Hi all This is my first post on here and I’m writing really for my adult daughter who has suffered with acid reflux for a year.
