What a difference a week makes. This time last week I was in absolute agony and unable to move because of the pain from two inflamed bulging disks and a PMR flare.
I told my bowling club and my choir that I would be unable to take part again this season (or, in my mind, ever again).
Well! Thanks to my GP getting my Naproxen and pregabalin levels right I sang in rehearsal for three hours last night - mostly on my feet - and today I won two bowling matches. Lovely being out in the sunshine today. Oh, and I"ve got back down to 10mg pred instead of 20mg.
Just thought I'd let you all know.

Last week I didn't know what to say to help you, this is wonderful news. Don't get carried away with the euphoria of recovery and reduce too quickly, take care.
PS. I was at a choral concert at Church last Saturday and started to chat to someone who has PMR and who, it turns out, is also on here. You should have heard us.. natter, natter, natter! rabbiting on about PMRpro, Mrs. N, Dorset Lady, and so many of you on here on whom we rely for advice. Her lovely OH and my dear son just stood grinning at each other while we had our own Health Unlocked reunion!
So pleased for you! Wonderful news and good as you say to share our ups as well as the downs!! It can seem like a dark tunnel at times I feel. Good when you see the light and possibilities afresh xx
Wonderful news! I am off to see the Ortho Dr for steroids shots for bursitis. Hope to be posting a happy story soon also. When the pain goes our life returns.
