Vaginal soreness
I am experiencing very sore vagina internal and externally around my vulva. I had thrush back in July and had a few repeat courses of the anti fungal treatment and also steroid cream but have had a recent retest for thrush which was negative and don't currently have itching. To be honest I wonder if

Mirena coil - weight gain and mood swings
Hi everyone, Anyone have the mirena coil for Endometriosis and noticed any side effects? I have put on like 12kg in a year - this is the fastest I have put on weight, eating about the same as I usually do. And my moods are all over the place? I am so up and down. Doctors have said it is not a known

extreme pain after coil insertion
4 weeks ago I had the mirena coil fitted to try and ease my endometriosis symptoms. It was uncomfortable at the time and I felt a really sharp pinch when it was out in place. The following two days were extremely painful with cramps and bleeding. Things then settled down for about two weeks. Then the

IUD mirena coil fitted extreme pain
Hi so I'm hoping someone can reassure me this is normal and will ease in time. I just had an IUD fitted this morning I had no idea what to expect I figured it was like having a smear test, uncomfortable but not painful. This was not the case for me I found it extremely painful I had to use gas and air

Mirena
I've had my mirena since the 10th on September I'm still spotting day in day out and is often brown and then bright red. I have it fired as I was suffering with extreme heavy bleeds. Im getting really fed up. I'm just starting a new relationship and I want it to stop. I don't know if this has happened

Advocating for myself or being a nuisance?
Sorry long post.. I've just got home after a 12 hour stint at A&E mostly in chairs and so long as blood tests were lost. Spent an interested 4 hours with Harold who is 90, blind and his daughter who loves Cliff Richard! So quick story so far: Female 43. Pretty healthy. High blood pressure occasionally

Hi all, Could I get some advise please. I have been suffering from endometriosis. I had a recent MRI and ultrasound done few weeks back and they found deep infiltrating endometriosis in some areas, around perineum to be exact and a very tiny cyst on my left ovary. I had a 2nd laparoscopy a year ago and

HRT / zolodex / hormone treatment help
Hi all. I posted recently about my concerns regarding zolodex etc. I think my only next steps is a complete hysterectomy due to my issues. HOWEVER. That being said, everyone seems to manage better withHRT and I'm looking to speak with people who have never been able to tolerate any form of hormone treatment

Mirena coil and mood
Hi there,I've searched existing posts and can't find the advice I'm looking for. I wondered if anyone can advise me on the effects on mood of having the mirena coil fitted? I understand the point of it is to reduce bleeding and pain. I'm having laporoscopy in January to remove endometriomas and anything

Told by gynae MRI could not be done to check for endo/adeno, confused!
Hi I posted last week as due to go for hysteroscopy and was pretty worried. Gynae was friendly and due to me saying about pelvic pain offered option of general anaesthetic if I wanted it, which I do. I said that previous ultrasound had showed a bulky womb, he said that was prob due to the fibroids I

Pending Hysterectomy Advice
Hi everyone, I’m feeling anxious to write here, it’s only tonight I thought maybe something like this might help, alongside those who know and are experiencing the same as me. I’m due to undergo surgery for a hysterectomy in December, and am now starting to feel incredibly anxious. Sorry for the essay

Severe pain triggered by sitting or lying down- does anyone else experience this?
Hi all, my first post on here! I was diagnosed with stage 2 Endo after having a lap last December. The surgeon found it in the space between my womb and bladder, womb and bowel, and around my left ovary and all down my left pelvic wall. It was excision surgery and he took out everything that he could

Post menopause, pernicious anaemia and endometriosis
Diagnosed with endomeriosis over 15 years years ago, had Prostap injections for 6 months, with little success and opted to try Mirena Coil first before hysterectomy. Mirena was a god send for me, it was great at controlling my symptons, I've had 3 mirena coils in total. The first one for a year

Hysteroscopy - what to expect? Worried!!!
Hi I hope some of you can advise! It seems crazy if some one has pelvic pain to put them through something like this without anaesthetic but..... I'm seeing a gynecologist next week after a year long wait. When I got the appointment letter it said that I would be having a hysteroscopy at the appointment

Hycosy & Coil
My consultants next steps are to have a hycosy exam. I have finally had to booked in after months of delays but been given barely any information on this. Can you have a hycosy with a mirena coil in place?

Consistent pain after laparoscopy
Hi guys, hoping you can help. I had a laparoscopy about 4 weeks ago now. They removed superficial endo from my ovary. They found adenomyosis in the muscle of the womb. They also remove superficial endo from my uterosacral ligament to the right of the urethra and recrum. They also inserted a mirena coil
