Fibroids - sick of bleeding constantly
hello. Just thought I’d post on here because a couple of days ago, my GP asked me to call myself an ambulance due to heavy (heavy!) bleeding that I couldn’t stop. Just in case this informs or helps anyone or if anyone can share any similar experiences on anything that helped or treatment options. This

Mirena coil and urge incontinence - help!
I had a Mirena coil put in 2 years ago due to PCOS and irregular periods. From the last 3 months (Oct 2023), every time I'm on my period I have had a few minor leaks, sometimes its just a drop or two. I literally have to make a quick dash to the loo to make it just in time. This can last up to 2 days

Birth control for PCOS and ENDO
Hi girlies!! I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago and was put on the Mirena coil to help relieve symptoms and to balance out my hormones. Last week I had my first diagnostic and excision surgery for Endo where they found Endo in my pelvis and around my ovaries. I still have the Mirena coil in place

Potential questions to ask before committing to the mirena
Can someone give me some good questions to ask the endometriosis specialist before I commit to having the mirena. I'm very against it but I'm in so so much pain and everyone is telling me it's best to try it and tbh the more I think about it more I think what's the harm in trying in hope I can resume

Mirena coil/mini pill
Just wondering if anyone had any success with mirena or mini pill? Seems all I see are problems being caused with them. I've never got on with hormones since having kids so I'm reluctant to try. Not sure how much it slows down endo progression?

Gyne Referral Made
Hi, after years of painful periods, painful sex, I decided to go to my GP to ask for a referral for a possible endometriosis diagnosis. My GP did a pelvic exam today and I have been sore ever since on the left side (feels like it's the left ovary). My fertility consultant during a stimulation cycle

Endometriosis, HRT and Mirena coil.

Strange period/bleeding. Has anyone else had this?
I have a provisional diagnosis of Adenomyosis and pelvic pain for 2 years. I've had the mirena coil for 18 months and had the odd light bleed. For the past few months I have all the symptoms of a period and when I wipe there is blood/small clots but nothing goes on the towel. It's as if it just sits

Been in constant agony since excision surgery in January, at my wits end please please help
Long story but will try to keep it short: I was diagnosed with endo in 2020 during a laparoscopy, my symptoms improved immensely afterwards but within a year I was in a lot of pain again so was referred back to the hospital (this time with a BSGE gynaecologist) and we decided to try surgery again. January

Lap V Lap Hysterectomy
At the risk of summoning a barrage of 'hysterectomies are evil' replies, I wondered if anyone can help me as I am totally lost for what to do next. I am 41 and I have deep-infiltrating Endo, as many of you do I'm sure. Today I went to see an Endo specialist after an 18 month wait as he is supposed

First consultant’s appointment - any tips?
Hi everyone, After a 5 month wait, I finally have my first (telephone) gynaecologist appointment tomorrow since 2019 for suspected endometriosis. I have never had any surgery or anything to properly prove this yet. I have had 3 ultrasounds this year between February and June, which showed one of my

Doctor said there are no more options to help me
Hi everyone. Back again feeling really defeated and like im going crazy. I think there may be some discrepancies here, please let me know if anyone has had any similar results or reason for hope after being told I have hit the end of the road. To start, I’ve had textbook endo symptoms since 14. It

Mirena coil
My mirena coil came out anyone else this happened to? It only lasted two days and I had it under general anaesthesia. I'm annoyed now 😤 I didn't see it come out. I have endometrium hyperplasia anyone else with this?

Prostap injection
Had a prostap injection just under a week ago. Feel awful. Tired and can't sleep walking up and down the stairs causes me to sit down. I'm hoping it will reduce the size of my uterus as I have adenymosis and fibrioids. I'm having a hysteroscopy under anesthesia for the mirena coil in hospital on weds

Intrauterine Device Issue
I've had Mirena (hormone) coils since being a young woman. Im 42 now. I have a new one every 4yrs and don't have periods. The one I have in now is due to be changed 2024 but I've just started to bleed slightly. Not happened before. Anyone other ladies experienced this?? Don't want to waste a GPs time

Adenomyosis, should I have hysterectomy?
The short version is that I have adenomyosis. I've always had heavy periods with period pains that make my thighs numb and require prescription painkillers. At the age of 44 I had some symptoms of perimenopause and tried HRT. After two years I came off and that seems to have triggered a strong reaction

Hormonal bomb
I'm taking 10 mg Carbimazole, Evorel 75 mg and have Mirena coil since 2013. I 'm worry that I am using a "hormonal bomb" as I'm using different hormones to deal with problems as menopause and hyperthyroidism. My thyroid is getting under control ( still showing high Thyroid Ab, though). The "new"
