Endometrioma?
Hi everyone During bowel surgery 18 months ago the surgeon removed a cyst from my ovary which, after biopsy, was confirmed as an endometrioma. Do this mean I have endometriosis as I get conflicting options from my GP & gynaecologist? I was put on Zolodex by my gynaecologist for a few months & then had

Should I go to GP again?
I’ve been awake most of the night with horrendous pain in my right side between hip and belly button and below. I’ve seen gynae who fitted Mirena and discharged me, had swabs taken two weeks ago which were clear apart from some inflammatory markers(?) so I don’t know what to do and whether to go back

Hello, has anyone been told that their iud (mirena) may have perforated their uterus? How was it rectified? I have an ultrasound booked for Monday to check as my GP (UK based) thinks this might be the case as I had it fitted over 3 weeks ago and I'm still in alot of pain (45-60mg codeine with paracetamol

Struggling with work due to anemia
I had a lap in January where endo was diagnosed. Since then I've had 2 mirena coils fitted & dispelled, then the implant. Which also failed to help me. Currently I'm trying the injection. Since January I've had heavy bleeding on and off and constant light/medium bleeding. I've been anemic and on iron

Mirena coil, getting cramps
I had the Mirena coil fitted a few weeks ago. But I keep getting cramps. And I am getting bloody discharge after sex. Has anyone else experienced this? I have also noticed that after my period my discharge seems thicker???

Unsure if I should have a laparoscopy
Hi, I have an operation date for a laparoscopy but I can't decide if this is something I should do or not. I have suffered from heavy bleeding and pain for 9 years since I had children. I am worried that they might damage my bladder or bowel and I will be worse off than I am now. I have endometriosis

Agony following swab!
Sorry to post again but I don’t know what to do! I went to GP this morning as significant increase in pain over the last two weeks, feeling like I’m being stabbed up inside with pain extending down my inner thigh. I asked her to check coil (inserted 5mths ago) and said it looked fine despite a lot

Advice needed: Extremely Heavy Period
Hi all, I was advised to come off the combined pill until I have the mirena coil fitted next month. Before I came off the pill I passed a decidual cast with a heavy period. I've had one light period since then. I usually have heavy periods but now an extra super tampon is only lasting me an hour- so

Elevated CA125
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo about 17 years ago after the removal of 2 10cm complex cysts on my right ovary. I was treated with the usual induced menopause and hrt. After this I have had no symptoms until recently. I had my mirena coil in for 7 years and decided to have it removed

Pain between rib and hip......is this endo?
I’m holding off going to GP with this as I can’t face another fobbing off at the moment. Does anyone else have pain at the top of the hip and bottom of the rib and a tight, pulling sensation as if your insides between them are stuck together? Also.....sorry.....sharp pain in the appendix area? I don

Gradually getting worse since Jan 2019. Periods have been horrific for many a decade from a pain point of view and

Appointment with new gynaecologist tomorrow
Hoping for some advice or ideas really. I was diagnosed via laparoscopy last November and endometriosis was removed with a laser. Since then I have had no treatment other than painkillers. My gynaecologist told me that my only options were the pill or mirena coil, neither of which I was prepared to use

Non-hormonal IUD (copper coil) and endo
Hi I'm new here. I've been looking for specific info and thought maybe someone here would know. For background, I'm 40 years old, was diagnosed with endo last winter and had a laparoscopy in the summer. I had a copper, non-hormonal IUD as birth control for a few years, till it moved out of place (which
