Confused!

Hi,

This is my first post as I have just joined this group. Firstly, thank you for reading if you get to the end!

I am really confused over what to do in my current situation.

I am 40 years old and I was diagnosed 15 years ago and have managed the condition, having treatment to get pregnant, mirena coil, ablations, you name it, I have probably had it!

My last ablation was last September. I ended u going private as I felt like I was going in circles with the NHS (god bless them they are good for lots of other things!)

The consultant could see endo in my cervix just on a routine check up and I had been getting more tired and heavier flow.

I had the ablation and he said whilst it wasn't severe, it was everywhere :(

All was well and good for two months and then the symptoms came back and gradually back to pain, bad bleeding and tired 6 months after the op.

I have since been on goserelin injections and Livial HRT. I am on the last three monthly injection he will let me have. Life has been brilliant for this past 9 months! I have felt bloody fantastic. This past couple of weeks I have started getting period type pain but no bleeding and feel generally well.

My options in January are:

- see what happens naturally now I have had a bit of time off from it!

- hysterectomy - full

- hysterectomy - part (leave ovaries?)

Because I have been feeling well, I am worried I don't really need a major op - now if you had asked me this time two years ago when it was bad I would have done it in a heartbeat!

Do I risk it and see what happens? knowing it will probably come back with all it's mates!

Or should I have a hysterectomy? And if I leave my ovaries, surely it will still come back? Obvs if it is full then I will have to jump straight into HRT and menopause. I am 40 - is this wise? I worry about risks of cancer etc. (I am a worrier!)

I am blessed with medical insurance and a great gynae consultant but he wants me to make the decision and I don't know what to do?

Can anyone help with their experience?

Thank you!
