Is a massage ok with PMR etc?
My daughter would like to give me a
massage
as a Mothers’s Day gift and I’d love to have one but I was wondering if they are advisable, and if OK any guidance on what type is best? Is it best to avoid deep tissue massages for example? Do I need to consult my rheumatologist/GP/ physio?

Waiting ‘impatiently’ for my next run - on the IC for now.
So lots of stretches, rolling my foot over a frozen water bottle and tennis ball, a
massage
gun bought, taping my feet and insoles are all helping. The pain is just like a tender bruised feeling now but I am not going to run until it has completely gone.

I tried, warm bath to the leg, used a feet massager with vibrations,
massage
with essential oil, sleep with a pillow underneath. Any remedies that have worked for anyone of you? Thank you

Another (long) Great South Run Report
Massage
and ultrasound followed and he advised to only run on pavements and not run further than 5k until the GSR 10 days later. A sports
massage
also showed tight hamstrings , piriformis , calves etc. so I iced my knee, ran a few short runs, and did some exercises, while crossing my fingers.

Massage, hot tubs and the like.
I work 10 & 12 hour shirts being on my feet for most of it so used to get a monthly hot stone
massage
to try and soothe the aching muscles. I have two stents fitted now and need to improve the squeeze of my heart. I was wondering whether its safe to get a hot
massage
now?

How I keep my tinnitus at a manageable baseline
adding near boiling water from a glass stockpot, with one corner of the tray slightly elevated so the water goes to one corner so it’s deep enough and have the shower pump in the water which recycles the water, wash hair with camping shower leaning over a glass mixing bowl in the sink and scratch/

didn’t confirm that, a Rheumatologist who diagnosed Fibromyalgia as well as Polymyalgia and recommended 2 Paracetomol 3 times daily and swimming three times a week- this was in December when public swimming pools were turning down heating because of the cost.I also had and am still having Deep Tissue

Severe pain in tremor arm and hand
I break out in a sweat and have to run to the bathroom to run warm water over my tremor arm or get a hot water bottle and
massage
my arm and hand with oils. I have never heard of anyone else having this problem.

Got pred at last!
Even my neck which I thought was fused (as did my chiropractor) is fine - just some tight ligaments between the lower cervical vertebrae which explains why my neck improved dramatically after my yogi
massage
the week before last.

WEEKLY CHAT 17-23 JULY 🫖☕️ TIME FOR A TREAT?
I normally aim to have a sports
massage
once a month to keep the niggles at bay but, with the best will in the world, you can’t call a sports
massage
a relaxing experience 😫 But this was a completely different experience.

Incurable Neuro Diseases
I have started trying different things: chiropractor,
massage
, weight training, and plan to attempt accupunture. Today is an extreme pain day. The worst I've felt. How do I limit my anxiety and depression? I try Breathwork, Tai Chi, etc....but today is difficult

Leaving herbal type remedies (along with Music, Meditation, Yoga,
Massage
, etc) looking like a good option. Wonder what some of you good people have found works for this? The article listed a few like Ginko Biloba, Lavender, Passion Flower. Thoughts appreciated! Best wishes, Andy
