Massage...or not?
Is
massage
a good idea, or could it cause inflamation? Should the head and neck area be avoided? Any experiences gratefully received. Thanks fellow warriors. š

Pelvic pain for 7 years
Because my issue is severe tight muscles that cause massive pain, the wand reaches to those spots and lets me
massage
the knots out from the inside. Unfortunately, while this works for a day or two of no pain to very little pain, it always comes back.

Head ache and exhausted
Iād had a week off of work and spent it resting and had a
massage
but I feel exactly the same as before. It doesnāt seem to matter how well I sleep Iām the same level of tired. My headache is just so sharp and at times is almost like a migraine. These arenāt things I normally have to deal with.

TBI how to cope with confusion of a loved one with tbi
Another thing is he asked me to
massage
him and as i was doing so, he looked at me in shock and shouted 'who the fuck are you, why are you touching me get off me...' (he is still in hospital, just waiting for a refferal for a rehab unit). Then there's the verbal abuse and blame for everything.

I'm 22, Male with no previous medical conditions apart from moderate shy bladder syndrome, yet this pain is so bad its ruined my life.
I also see a physiotherapist once a week to who does acupuncture and internal
massage
to try to relax my muscles but I donāt really think this helps. Since all this my life is very up and down having days of small amounts of pain and some which I feel as bad as ever.

Class 3 tights and reducing swelling
An experienced lymphoedema nurse who I see privately for lymph drainage
massage
says she thinks it is because I need smaller size tights. I am 5-ft 7 and I currently wear size 3 and have done since I got lymphedema 11 years ago. I canāt really understand how smaller tights would help.

London 10K done
I used the
massage
gun on my legs and calves extensively last night and this morning so perhaps that made the difference. For my Hackney Half training Iām going to do a lot more stretching and yoga than I did last year. Happy runner today!

First time visit to the Physio
When I replied no to the question of whether I had ever had a sports
massage
the physio was rather surprised and suggested that I ought to consider one on a regular basis (for me 4-6 weeks) once the knots were all out if I intended to keep running, these are generally less expensive than a standard physio
